I didn’t think they were exploiting the children- I thought they were exploiting the contestants… making them sit through all that, especially poor Jordin, thinking she could be going home, and then BAM- nope, sorry- times up- but nobody turns into a pumpkin this week. If you look at paragraph 3, line 7, you’ll note that the midnight thing isn’t always applicable. Seacrest can be so lame. Poor Jordin’s last attempt at singing really stank it up, but I can’t blame her- talk about emotional roller coaster!!!

I never actually get to watch the show when it airs, I use our DVR. Love to watch it that way. Don’t have to watch any of the commercials OR listen to anyone sing I don’t want to hear I was kind of thinking they would give them a break by the way Ryan kept saying shocker. Melinda was safe right away and I think her or Jordin would be the shockers right now. Anywhoo, sorry you had to sit through all that!! Next week 2 go home, wonder who that will be??

Annoyed here, too. It was too long, in my opinion. Understandable they didn’t send anyone home, but I was really hoping to say adios to Lakisha!

We were tivoing it…and halfway through we accidently deleted the first hour, so I got lucky and only watched the last hour (live, by the way).

I was sure surprised when they said Chris was safe…

I also think they were doing a great thing – my eight year old said “Mom, can’t you give anything for those kids?” I guess if you can help out (and most of us can help a little, right?) then it’s up to us to do so.

I’d like to know how Mr. Seacrest helped, after him bugging Simon the way he did.

I wasn’t able to tune in til 9:00…came in at the “Staying Alive” video, which I thought was a blast. Anyway, when it came down to Jordin & Chris, I figured Chris was going. I told hubby that if Jordin was voted off, I was DONE for this season. I couldn’t believe they did that to her, though. Her family looked stunned & she was a wreck…poor thing!

I too had toothpicks in my eyes waiting to see who got voted off and fell asleep 10 minutes before the end so didn’t know they didn’t boot anyone. I just figured I’d log onto your site and find out this morning. Bummer.

I think they would be exploiting the children if they were turning a profit, obviously they were not. There is only one way for us to truly understand the level of poverty and illness that is taking place in another country and that is through video and picture.

I personally LOVED the show and everything it stood for, I think this IS a great opportunity to open up our wallets, and make a donation to a cause that so desperately needs immediate attention.

I applaud AI for utilizing their enormous viewing audience for something so powerful and important.
