New Year Fun!

I got this from Kelli at There is no place like home.  The directions are to post the first sentence of your first blog post of each month.

~January~
Trying not to cry over spilled milk, or spilled urine as the case may be.

~February~
I have had some pretty interesting conversations with my kids recently.

~March~
I just got done watching Idol.

~April~
The most miserable month of the year is O-V-E-R!

~May~
Does anyone else feel like they are in a style rut?

~June~
There are basically two kinds of people in this world: those who insist
upon wearing shoes at all times, and those who kick off their shoes at
every opportunity.

~July~
Friday morning was our last day at the beach.

~August~
When I was pregnant with my first child, I was determined to “get it
right”.

~September~
I was visiting with a friend today, and she said, “So what drew you to this Weil book?”

~October~
35 years and 3 kids has not been kind to my midsection.

~November~
I think I finally know what I’m going to be when I grow up.

~December~
For unto us a child is born,
unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder:
and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, The mighty God, The
everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. — Isaiah 9:6

Happy New Year from our home to yours!

As I reviewed your year with you I couldn’t keep from clicking on the “pretty interesting conversations with my kids”. Curiosity, you know. I missed this one when originally posted. I can’t believe the questions concerning death from C! It caused me to recall a strikingly similar conversation, or series of conversations, I had with my daughter 30 years ago about dying and heaven! Really – no exaggeration. Same concerns. Two comments that I recall vividly were: “Should I pack my suitcase?” and “Will you go with me?” I knew we were in deep and only time would bring understanding to this precious child. She was so intense and so focused on such a serious subject. What amazes me most today, is how much like her Mom C really is! As Yogi said, “deja vu all over again”! C will be a wonderful woman someday: strong, sensitive and committed to her Lord and her family!
