momAgenda Giveaway

by Jo-Lynne on December 18, 2008

in Giveaways!

This giveaway is closed.  The winning number is 28.  Congratulations, Jen!!!!!  And mega thanks to momAgenda for sponsoring this giveaway!!!

I know, I know, I said the Clarisonic was the last giveaway of the year.  I lied.  Not knowingly, of course! But yesterday I heard from Nina Restieri of momAgenda.com, and she offered to donate a momAgenda Desktop as well as a set of notepads for me to give away.  I couldn’t turn THAT down, so THIS is officially my last giveaway of 2008.

lime_desktop08-09_l

I met Nina at an event last summer, and I talked her into doing a giveaway on my blog.  And she’s so nice that she sent me a momAgenda of my very own in addition to the one to give away.  I swear to you that I don’t know how I ever lived without one.  It has space for my own appointments, space for the activities of up to four children, and a place to write dinner plans each day.  And since I only have three children, I use one space for my blog deadlines and reminders.   It’s open on my desk at all times, and I have been much more organized and responsible since I started using it.  I think I might possibly be their biggest cheerleader.

And here’s a funny thing — I was shopping in a boutique this summer, and I saw a collection of momAgendas on display.  I asked the lady behind the counter if she owned the shop, and she did, and I told her about meeting Nina and how I love my momAgenda but had never seen them in stores before.  She turned around and grabbed her open momAgenda from the desk behind her and said that she couldn’t live without it.  Oh how we bonded over the momAgenda.  So you see, not only does the momAgenda keep you organized, it promotes peace and harmony among women everywhere.

Okay, that might be a slight exaggeration, but trust me, if you have kids, you need one.  (There is also a Wall Calendar if that floats your boat.)  And right now, momAgenda is offering 20% off storewide. That includes already reduced merchandise.  This sale is unprecedented in the history of momAgenda, but as Nina says, “These extraordinary times call for extraordinary savings.”

WIN IT! Yes, I was getting to this part.  It takes me a while sometimes.  These extraordinary times also call for giveaways!  If you would like a chance to win a momAgenda of your very own (and the accompanying set of notepads) just leave a comment on this post and tell me your biggest organizational challenge.  Want to double your chances?  Mention this giveaway on Twitter. (Don’t know what Twitter is?  See the prior post!)  If you tweet it, make sure to leave a second comment so you get your extra entry.  I will randomly select a winner on Monday.  (This giveaway is open to residents of the continental U.S.)  Good luck!!

UPDATE:  This is from Nina.  She left a comment but I figured I’d copy and paste it here in case people don’t read all the comments!

biggest organizational challenge? managing my life? my website? figuring out what to cook for dinner b/c i’m never organized enough to plan ahead to even buy the food to cook! i love mom agenda and totally need a new one for 2009!

2 Kim December 18, 2008 at 8:57 am

This is a great giveaway! Biggest org challenge – the kids – just trying to keep their schedules straight as well as their stuff. I just spent 3 days looking for E’s sash for Missionettes and found it as we were walking out the door. Go figure!

3 Megan@SortaCrunchy December 18, 2008 at 8:58 am

My biggest organization challenge is maintaining momentum. I am great at sitting down and making sense out of the week – lists, menu plans, project plans and deadlines. That’s usually Sunday night or Monday. By Wednesday, I’ve lost my lists, can’t find the menu plan, and given up on all hope of completing projects. This is why I need a momAgenda. I need someplace to collect it all and let it stay calm and organized when I get frazzled.

Fantastic giveaway! I have a friend from college who SWEARS by these.

4 Jennifer December 18, 2008 at 9:03 am

Great giveaway! Gosh, biggest challenge is now three kids with three sets of activities on TOP of my stuff and hubby’s stuff. I try to write down as much as possible but usually with stickies so this would be most helpful. Thanks!!!

5 Malia Russell December 18, 2008 at 9:06 am

This looks great. My biggest organizational challenges are those areas I do not have to see very often, like the inside of closets that are in bedrooms. I do not have to look in there much, so they get messy before I notice them, and it takes a lot of time to get them back in shape, so I avoid them. .

6 Terra December 18, 2008 at 9:18 am

Oh I so want one of these, I looked at them a while ago but couldn’t fork over the dough. I keep 3 calendars on my fridge to keep us all organized…I would use this to replace those…I would just photo copy each week and hang it for all to see and have my own personal copy to keep with me too!!!

Thanks for the chance

7 Cindy Schultz December 18, 2008 at 9:27 am

The hardest part is remembering who has to be where when. We homeschool and my sons are involved in bowling, rollerskating, youth group, worship team, drama and everything else. Add to that my stuff and hubby’s stuff and there is often something that gets missed. Not to mention keeping up with my blog posts and deadlines! Yikes!

8 Cindy Schultz December 18, 2008 at 9:28 am
9 Cathy December 18, 2008 at 9:29 am

My biggest challenge is the curve balls the teens lob daily. “Oh, I forgot. After you pick me up from school today, but before you take me to practice, I need to visit an art museum to write a paper.”

10 Anita, the Knitting Junkie! December 18, 2008 at 9:36 am

Oh, oh, oh! I love the momAgenda’s and have wanted one for FOR. EV. ER! My biggest organizational challenge is that I don’t have a momAgenda to keep my life harmoniously organized in!

11 Anita, the Knitting Junkie! December 18, 2008 at 9:38 am
12 Kim December 18, 2008 at 9:43 am

I am the WORST at remembering birthday’s.. and then keeping all the kids doctors appts straight ugh..

I am heading over to this website right now.. need to check out their goods. :)

13 Sandi December 18, 2008 at 9:47 am

I love to organize things: closets, kitchen drawers, home office…
My biggest challenge is KEEPING it organized. I can spend hours cleaning and organizing a space only to find I’m right back where I started within weeks or even days!

14 Danielle December 18, 2008 at 9:50 am

We are horrible about organizing a menu for the week (or day!) and SUPER unorganized about the mail when we walk in the house. Bills, junkmail, cards everywhere!

15 Tidymom December 18, 2008 at 9:52 am

My biggest organizing challenge ? My brain doesn’t retain information like it used to! LOL I HAVE to write EVERYTHING down!! The momAgenda looks like the answer to my prayers………no more little notes every where! LOL

……..off too check out all of her goodies now

18 Stefani December 18, 2008 at 10:02 am

My biggest organizational challenge is keeping my husband in the loop by updating two different calendars. It seems that no matter where I write appointments down, I have to tell him again a couple hours before I need him to be somewhere!

19 Karen December 18, 2008 at 10:07 am

My biggest organizational challenge is trying to squeeze in a little work while my daughter is at school — and while I try to blog.

20 Karen December 18, 2008 at 10:08 am

Oh, and I’m Twittering about this….

21 Jamie December 18, 2008 at 10:22 am

My biggest challenge is organizing the stuff I NEED to do: dr’s appts, grocery shopping, special chores and then of course birthdays anniversaries and things like that. I’m also my husband’s rganizer so I need to do a better job now so that I’ll be able to handle it when our next child comes in June.
Looks like a great product.

22 melissa from girlymama December 18, 2008 at 10:36 am

keeping everything straight – which kid has gym on which day!! drives me nuts!!

i need a new planner! pick me!!!

23 iMommy December 18, 2008 at 10:38 am

Family dinner every night. It’s important to us, but getting a real dinner – not fast food or eating out – is the toughest thing for me.

24 Sandra in Phx December 18, 2008 at 10:45 am

I consider myself a fairly organized person but every single day, dinner trips me up. I make a meal plan every week and yet I can’t seem to get dinner on the table without some sort of stress. I mean, dinner happens every night so it shouldn’t be a surprise…GGRRR!

25 Sandra in Phx December 18, 2008 at 10:45 am

I twittered about it:)

26 Megan December 18, 2008 at 10:47 am

My biggest organizational challenge is switching from attorney-mommy mode to home-mommy mode. I am super-organized at work but when I get home and am exhausted and trying to spend time with my hubby and baby, I find organizing my house and home life to be overwhelming. Even something as simple as going through the mail can seem daunting.

27 christina December 18, 2008 at 11:09 am

Oh how I love organizers! They make me so happy!

28 Jen December 18, 2008 at 11:16 am

I am not the most organized individual but I start every year (I work on school calendar year) swearing that I will get more organized. Last month I started Weight Watchers which led me to start a blog. I started walking on my treadmill every day. I can’t walk fast so I walk long. My life is falling apart and I can’t keep track of it all. My daughter has a million activities, I am a new teacher (this is my 2nd year), i have to produce a monthly newsletter, a yearly yearbook, i also teach homebound studies. And in January I am starting graduate school. Ok I am exhausted and confused just writing down all the stuff I do. Wait,I think I missed some stuff-like my husband and house responsibilities.

29 Jen December 18, 2008 at 11:20 am

I tweeted about this contest

My twitter ID is jen_da_bookworm

Awesome contest! And so appropriately timed!

30 Carol December 18, 2008 at 11:28 am

I actually wanted to win this for my sister. My nephew is at the mild end of the autistic spectrum, and her biggest organizational challenge is keeping track of my nephew’s doctor appointments and other items.

Thanks:-)

32 Someone Being Me December 18, 2008 at 11:40 am

My biggest organizational challenge is getting all my chores done. It seems if I get the dusting, mopping, sweeping, dishes done that the laundry gets overlooked. I need a better system to get my chores done and still take care of my toddler and the baby on the way.

33 patty duarte December 18, 2008 at 11:40 am

clutter after school!

34 Jessica December 18, 2008 at 11:41 am

I am in love with the Mom agenda stuff! My biggest org challenge is my house. I work full time, have 2 young kids, PTC Vice Pres, volunteer every week. There just isn’t enough time to get everything done. I feel like my house suffers. I need things to be organized and in their place and feel totally out of sorts when they are not.

35 Jessica December 18, 2008 at 11:44 am

I tweeted the giveaway too!

jesbkmom

36 Courtney December 18, 2008 at 11:49 am

Biggest challenge right now… getting ready for a new baby! What do I need, when do I need it, appointments, researching baby stuff, painting the nursery …will I be ready? I would love to have a momAgenda to start off on the right foot!

37 Kirsten December 18, 2008 at 11:49 am

I have tried so many different organizers and planners. I love the concept of a written planner, but I never actually felt they were truly useful. Maybe I have just been using the wrong one? Right now my blackberry is my planner. The momAgenda sure is pretty, adn I’m a sucker for pretty office stuff!

38 Dina December 18, 2008 at 11:49 am

My biggest organizational challenge is getting organized. I have tried calendars, pocket planners, to do lists (which I always lose) and I even call myself on the answering machines at both work and home to leave reminders for myself. Somehow, I still run in circles and live the old addage “A day late and a dollar short” looks like I could really use a “momagenda”

DMLD

39 Kellyn December 18, 2008 at 12:30 pm

I have been drooling over these forever! They are wonderful. Between the two kids, hubby and work this would be very handy.

Thanks!

Kellyn

40 Kellyn December 18, 2008 at 12:31 pm

I tweeted!! Thanks again.

41 Joclyn December 18, 2008 at 12:53 pm

My biggest challenge is just trying to be organized. I always feel as though I am moving in lots of different directions. I do wish that I was more organized to clean my house.

42 Gina December 18, 2008 at 1:03 pm

I’ve never heard of the momAgenda, but now I want one!! My biggest organizational challenge? I work fulltime, I’m a student trying to finish my degree, and I’m a single parent of an active almost-teenager. EVERYTHING is an organizational challenge. :-)

43 Maureen December 18, 2008 at 1:03 pm

My biggest organizational challenge is just figuring out where to start. I want to keep things neat and together but usually bills and statements all get strewn together.

44 Candace (Mama Mia) December 18, 2008 at 1:26 pm

Paper is my biggest organizational challenge. WIth my kids in school now it seems like we have so much paper!

45 mzzterry December 18, 2008 at 1:53 pm

The challenge I have is around my “nest” where I play on the computer, read, pray and basically live my entire life. My little spot seems to accumulate stuff that is always looking junky to me. I have to stop everything and clean it up every so often! I am a messie that is married to mr. ocd!!!

46 Jenny 867-5309 December 18, 2008 at 1:56 pm

My biggest challenge is keeping my husband’s schedule in sync with my schedule and my 2 boys’. Drives me batty. I try using a calendar on my fridge, but it just doesn’t cut it.

47 Jenny 867-5309 December 18, 2008 at 1:59 pm
48 workout mommy December 18, 2008 at 2:05 pm

my biggest challenge is CLUTTER! I have too much!

second to that is keeping my husband’s travel schedule straight. We are always getting that mixed up.

49 workout mommy December 18, 2008 at 2:06 pm

I tweeted as well. Thanks!

50 ursula December 18, 2008 at 2:13 pm

hmmmm, biggest organizational challenge??? goodness, you should see my recipe collection……..just slips of paper and gravy covered index cards all over the place. I often plan to put them together in an organized and beautiful way, but alas, never get around to it………….thanks for the giveaway chance~

51 Jen@OurDailyBigTop December 18, 2008 at 2:43 pm

I’ve wanted a momagenda for a long time – this will help me keep track of one coach, two teams, 3 kids, school and activities and parties and on and on and on. thanks!

52 Valerie Mitchell December 18, 2008 at 3:02 pm

biggest challenge – too much multi-tasking – need a central way to organize

53 Valerie Mitchell December 18, 2008 at 3:03 pm
54 One More Equals Four December 18, 2008 at 3:06 pm

I have four kids, homeschool, teach at a tutorial two days a week and teach S.S. My beiggest organizational challenge is just keeping my head above water. Seriously. I long to be one of those naturally organized people who jsut “have it together” instead, I survive on 4-5 hours of slepp a night because I am still trying to get the must do’s done at midnight. I have to get up at 5″00 to get in exercise and everything else just comes at break neck speed throughout the day. I know I am no busier than anyone else, I just am TERRIBLE at organization and time management!

55 Kimberly/Mom in the City December 18, 2008 at 3:12 pm

My biggest organizational challenge is making everything fit into a 24 hour day!

56 Michelle@Life with Three December 18, 2008 at 3:57 pm

Hmmmm. My biggest organizational challenge. I have to choose just one?!? I’m going to go with laundry. I try to keep it organized, but despite all my efforts, I’m constantly trying to conquer Mt. Washmore.

57 Anne N. December 18, 2008 at 4:01 pm

My biggest organizational challenge is laundry!! I am always behind. I also have a hard time scheduling “work out” time.

58 Nikki December 18, 2008 at 5:44 pm

I won the MomAgenda when you did the giveaway last summer AND I LOVE IT!!! It has helped my organization in so many ways – planning meals is much easier, keeping up with children’s schedules is less confusing, and keeping my own deadlines and appointments straight is actually fun. Good luck to everyone!

59 Jenn Calling Home December 18, 2008 at 7:22 pm

My biggest org challenge: getting dinner started and coordinating that with school pick ups at 5:00…a real challenge. And related to that, menu planning.

60 Danielle December 18, 2008 at 7:28 pm

TOYS! They come in, get “out grown”, broken, and lose their pieces so fast that I can’t possibly keep up!!! I throw out, give away, repair, search for missing pieces and containerize and the toys still win. I’m tired of stepping on them, listening to them, sorting them and receiving them!!! I think I’ll start a “No more toys” blog. HA! Just kidding about the blog. I need help… my 2 and 4 year old have messed up my brain!

61 Jenn Calling Home December 18, 2008 at 7:34 pm

Just tweeted you, too.

62 windy December 18, 2008 at 8:18 pm

I need help with it all – 3 kids, their schedules, dr apts, meal plans – this is what I need to get it all in one place!

63 Lois December 18, 2008 at 8:49 pm

I want this agenda!!! Biggest challenge for me is to find the time to do all the other things I’m suppose to while I’m on the computer. You know, like laundry, getting meals done, oh yeah, and getting the kids up and ready for school! I definitely think an agenda like this is called for!! Thanks!

64 Margie December 18, 2008 at 9:09 pm

I have pressed my face against the glass looking at the elusive momagenda. *sigh* My biggest organizational challenge is balancing the school schedules and activities of my two older children (the itty bitty one is only 5 weeks) :)

65 Megan December 18, 2008 at 9:10 pm

What a great giveaway! I think one thing I struggle with is keeping track of the various sports practices we need to attend.
Merry Christmas!

66 Christine December 18, 2008 at 9:59 pm

Wow these are so neat.. I would love to have it… my problem is I have this organizer with LITTLE tiny blocks for each day.. I write things over each other and then I cant even tell what they say!

67 Sara December 18, 2008 at 10:19 pm

Boy do I need to get organized!! I am a working mom with a baby so this would be super to help me keep it together in the new year!! I twittered it as well!!

68 Chi December 19, 2008 at 12:21 am

My biggest challenge is getting organised in the first place! :) I am one of the worst at organizing. I have a million things to do and I somehow never seem to do any of them! :D

Thanks for the great contest :)

69 Sarah December 19, 2008 at 1:19 am

My biggest organizational challenge is keeping my focus and prioritizing when I have three kids under 3 constantly distracting me. Would love to have a Mom Agenda to help.

70 Kacie December 19, 2008 at 1:42 am

My biggest organizational problem is balance! I’m in nursing school and balancing my time with the LOADS of homework, household chores, tests, hubby time, family time, church, etc…it gets overwhelming! :)

This is so sweet of you to do this so often. Your blog is so fun. I love it.

71 Dree December 19, 2008 at 2:15 am

My biggest challenge is finding the time to file all of my papers.

72 Gay December 19, 2008 at 7:10 am

My challenge is REMEMBERING it all! Moving in a few weeks…YIKES!

73 TCC December 19, 2008 at 8:39 am

My biggest challenge is maintaining what has been organized – otherwise I don’t notice it until its a big annoying problem again. This may also be due to the fact that I feel like I’ve become a sermi-professional juggler (only an analogy) who has too many balls that have been tossed into the air and I am doing my very best to try to keep them from dropping to the ground.

I’ve heard about the momAgenda and have looked at the site and actually wanted one but have never actually used one – I also don’t know anyone (outside of some of the blogs I’ve read) that uses one.

Thanks for the chance to win.

74 jackie December 19, 2008 at 10:29 am

My biggest organizational challenge is following carefully laid plans. I love to plan. Following these is where the challenge comes in. I’m convinced this would help me follow through.

75 Chrysanthemama December 19, 2008 at 11:44 am

My biggest organizational challenge is life. We are an Air Force family that has lived in 9 houses, 5 states, and 1 country in the past 8 1/2 years! We have 3 kids that keep us busy, and my husband’s work schedule and duties are constantly changing. I would love to win the momAgenda, because I need something that will work for our family!

76 Chrysanthemama December 19, 2008 at 11:45 am

I just tweeted about it!

77 Rhonda Mason December 19, 2008 at 12:56 pm

My biggest organization challenge is doctor appointments! I have a disabled husband and also take care of my Mom who has several health problems. It means running to doctor appointments 2-3 times a week, then getting perscriptions picked up and going for tests etc. etc .etc! And lets not even think about changed appointments! I could really use some organization here! Thanks and happy holidays!

78 tammy b December 19, 2008 at 12:59 pm

life is my biggest organizational challenge, ha! ok, seriously, making sure that i have all the same stuff on the family planner and my personal planner

79 tammy b December 19, 2008 at 1:00 pm

oops, i twittered you too

80 Timothy Selig December 19, 2008 at 5:09 pm

managing your time ys the answer to my orfanizing probs

81 emily December 19, 2008 at 11:55 pm

Another GIVEAWAY. You rock! My biggest organizational challenge is finding time to file papers, or even knowing what to do with papers. Thus, my desk being piled up!

82 Lisa December 19, 2008 at 11:59 pm

I have a hard time remembering to write appointments on my calendar. It’s because the one I’ve had this year isn’t too user-friendly. Wednesday morning, the exterminator showed up for a 7 a.m. appointment that I had completely forgotten. He got an eye-full of scary; I’d just crawled out of bed.

83 Reva Skie December 20, 2008 at 12:17 am

My biggest challenge is letting go of clutter. I want to hang onto everything.

84 Cathy | Mommy Motivation December 20, 2008 at 10:10 pm

Hey, I would LOVE one of those! I saw them last year too but I haven’t jumped in yet. Ya think I could pay for shipping to Canada if I won it? :)

Oh! My biggest challenge so far – keeping up with the online deadlines and projects… I think pen & paper is the best even for online stuff. I suppose I’m old fashioned that way.

Cheers,
Cathy

85 Julie From Inmates December 20, 2008 at 11:18 pm

My OCD would like the organizer very much!!! My biggest organizational challenge is that I try to do WAY TOO MUCH for one person. I need to learn to say NO!!!!

86 Heather December 21, 2008 at 10:51 am

My biggest challenge is being on time for things, and that’s is with just 2 kids! Not to mention that I have another one due in a few days! Would be great to have to keep it all together!

87 Erin December 21, 2008 at 9:07 pm

My biggest challenge? Keeping it all together. I can make lists and reminders like no one’s business, but keeping those lists and reminders organized get the best of me. There is also the pesky problem of not checking my lists and reminders. I’ve said it before, but it is all in the follow through.

88 Cassie December 21, 2008 at 9:15 pm

I am constantly forgetting dates and important events!

89 Cassie December 21, 2008 at 9:17 pm
90 Mary B December 21, 2008 at 9:38 pm

My biggest organizational challenge? Keeping all the kids schedules organized! And then their is hubs….

91 Natalie December 21, 2008 at 10:42 pm

I feel like since I had child number 3 that I am an organizational nightmare. Can’t remember important dates, appointments, things I need to do, etc. Some days I look at myself in the mirror and wonder what happened to the organizational dynamo that everybody used to envy…b/c she has left. I miss her.

92 lisa December 23, 2008 at 12:52 am

i can put a post-it down and the table and when i turn around, it multiplies into stacks of paper. happy holidays! thanks for one last surprise giveaway!
