Best:All the sushi rolls I could eat- and that came to quite a tally, believe me.
Worst: 7-11 roses-ugh!
I have the best husband in the world. We have a standing Valentines Meal all planned and executed by himself for the past 23 years. He buys shrimp, grouper and or crab legs and we have a meal prepared by him. Might sound corny, but it’s become a tradition. My daughter calls the day after and says well, I guess you enjoyed your meal as ususal…she’s jealuous. One year my husband and my daughter took little nails and hammered them into the side of the house in a giant heart and then strung red ribbon all around the nails. I just love Valentines day. OH our very first Valentines Day together… he went to a lock smith shop and purchased a blank key and then engraved on the blank, ‘a key to Steve’s heart’. Had to fall for him. Thanks for listening. OH!!! no bad ones…
My best? Well, my husband proposed a few days before Valentine’s Day (after a night of romantic dancing on a double date) and then on Valentine’s Day I decorated his car while he was in college, left notes, and everything you can imagine, hand dipped in chocolate. He gave me a lot of Bath and Body Works stuff and we had a romantic evening.
My worst…well..the worst “gift” was getting in a fight with past boyfriend and him saying that he didn’t believe in Valentine’s gifts after we made up. AHH!
Worst: One year when I was in elementary school, a boy in my class that I had a crush on gave me a valentine. On the outside it said, “You have a lot of good points.” On the inside there was a picture of a witch, and it said “a pointed nose, a pointed chin….”
Best: Handmade valentines my kids made for me in elementary school.
One of my first married Valentines Days, I had an out of town friend spending the weekend at my house. My husband kept acting like it wasn’t even Valentine’s Day, then we were up late talking and he walked by tossing lots of candy at us. My friend still talks about it!
My worst Valentine’s Day present was probably me ex boyfriend breaking up with me haha.
The best is the chocolate candy my dad used to get for me every year.
My best and worst are really the same. First let me say I have in eight years of marriage only ever had one valentines gift, a puppy which I paid for from the shelter, and which three weeks later I had to give up cause my hubby’s adopted dog (big lab) kept attacking her and hubby insisted mine go and not his. I loved that dog she was sweet called her lil bit
Best: Romantic dinner without the kids and a fondue restraunt.
Worst: Electronic Toothbrush

My best gift is jewelry which happens about once every 5 years! my worst gift was a night in a theme hotel that I ended up extremely sick and in the emergency room!
Best Vday gift would be a dozen roses and a box of chocolate from my hubby the first year we were together. He hasn’t been so extravagent since. Worst would be my aunt giving me a bra with hearts on it when I was a teenager. Weird gift from an adult that didn’t know me well plus it was totally the wrong size.
My best Valentines day gift was a new laptop computer. My worst Valentines day gift was a bat house. Don’t know what he was thinking.
My best Vday present was from my son. I was newly seperated from my ex-husband and felt very alone. My 10 yr old son used his allowance to buy me chocolate, a red rose and a card. I cried with tears of joy and haven’t felt alone since!
My worst was when my ex told me, on that very special day, that his last GF had just given birth to his baby. I didn’t even know she was pregnant!
I’m still trying to think of my best Valentine’s Day gift(that is kinda sad, huh?) BUT, I know my worst:( Last year, not only did my SO buy me a microwave, but he let our DD help pick it out. Romantic, huh? In his defense, it the microwave also toasts and browns LOL!
It may sound tacky but the best Valentines gift my husband ever gave me are the artificial roses that I still have years later. The best part about it is what he told me when he gave them to me which sounds a little sill writing out but it was heart felt. He said he felt weird about it after he bought them but he wanted to give me some that I didn’t have to throw out and a few other personal things. To some it may be tacky but I love those roses and they make me smile everytime I see them.
This would be so great to win, I finally got a laptop and it’s red so this would be perfect! Thanks so much
My best was a beautiful ruby necklace as I had been hinting about it for weeks!
My worst was a pair of birds as I had to go out and buy a cage, food and it cost me so much money for that ONE gift…LOL
The best Valentine’s Day present ever was the look on my mother’s face one year. My sister and I had just gotten an apartment during college. We asked my mom to come over. We had taped notes on every stair letting her know how much she meant to us. At the top was a flat of flowers for her to plant that spring in her new little house. She had just divorced my Dad and went from a huge home to a tiny trailer and was sad. She thought it was ugly. This was a way for her to make it her own and add some love. Then we cooked dinner together and it was one of my happiest Valentine’s Days ever.
My best valentines day gift ever was some homemade truffles! Very sweet, both the thought and the candy.
My worst V-day gift was salmonella when my then boyfriend cooked us some chicken spaghetti, but didn’t cook it all the way apparently.
My BEST V-day gift was a dozen roses that my husband had sent to me at work. I felt SO special!
My best Valentines gift was the year my husband saved a little money here and there and bought me a necklace with a diamond pendent. The pendent is about the size of the ball point on a pen
, but it meant so much because he worked to save the money!
Worst Valentine’s – in high school, our Beta club was leaving for a trip on Valentine’s day…my bf brought this giant stuffed bear for me…I mean come on – as an 11th grader, do I really want a giant stuffed bear?? No hiding that on the bus! LOL
My best Valentine’s – hmm…hard to come up with the best, bc my hubby does such a great job, but one year he surprised me with an orchid and bareroot roses that we could plant…I absolutely loved it!
My best was when my husband proposed to me.
My worst was when an old boyfriend forgot and didn’t get me anything, not even a card!
Thank you for the giveaway!

Oooh! I STILL don’t have a laptop bag and I’ve had my laptop for over a year now! In 2000, my husband and I got married just days after Valentine’s Day, that was definitely that best! Worst…hmm, we celebrate big each year (we call it Valentersary) so I don’t think I’ve had a worst.
the best: a proposal from my husband
the worst: he forgot about it one year
My very best was probably the first year with my first boyfriend – just sweetness and love. The card was the best part.
My worst was the year right after we had broken up. I had never felt so sad or so alone. No gifts for me that year.
Best gift – Glass heart box from my husband with my future initials on it. Awwww!!
Worst gift – Stood up for a date on Valentine’s Day
Best: first Valentine’s gift from my boyfriend he got me my first pet rat, which I’ve always wanted.
Worst: When my dog ate a giant box chocolates my mom had gotten to surprise me with.
the worst valentine’s day gift i ever received was a tacky bear holding a heart saying i love you. i was in sixth grade at the time and was NOT in love with the boy who gave it to me and in fact, it scared me. i know the kid meant well but i just didn’t like him that way.
Oh me, my worst was when we were flat broke and we weren’t able to do gifts. My best was the year we got married 2 days after Valentine’s day. Blessings, Sherri
I really can’t think of any presents I’ve gotten on Valentine’s day besides the typical chocolate and cards…but my dog was born on Valentine’s Day so, though that’s not when she became my dog or anything, I’d like to count her as my best Valentine’s present?
Worst? Uhmmm… probably some horrible candy I got back in grade school with those Valentine’s we put in paper bags on everyone’s desk (I really can’t think of a worst one!).
My best Valentine’s Day gift was my awesome leather desk chair from my husband – I’m sitting in it right now!
I don’t know if I’ve ever had a bad Valentine’s Day gift… usually it’s not a big day for gifts (the chair was an exception), mostly chocolate and cards – the homemade ones are the best!
worst – we were just dating but had several silly fights – it sucked
best – 5 yrs ago this valentines day when my gorgeous niece was born!
My best gift was a bouqet of gerber daisies (my favorite) worst was a generic bouqet of grocery store roses…not much thought and his mother had to remind him to buy something.
Hi there, do you ship to the Philippines should I win this one?
Nevertheless, am answering the question:)
My best Valentine’s gift ever was sent to me by my love from half the world away. It was a valentine’s card filled with sweet nothings, a heart-shaped box of chocolates and a necklace with a heart-shaped pendant. Very sweet, huh!
I don’t have a worst valentine’s gift yet..God forbid.
I’ve blogged about this beautiful giveaway here..oh,I blogged about this giveaway too here..http://www.pinaylighterside.com/2009/01/jo-lynnes-beautiful-blog-giveaway.html
