A while back I wrote a review on the WordWorld™ multimedia platform including an Emmy-winning PBS television series, award-winning toys, and an interactive website.  Today I get to give away a WordWorld™ House Set!

Here are the details:

  • This WordWorld House set comes with A to Z letter blocks and 2 buildable WordFriends
  • Preschoolers can build and rebuild the house scene as they learn new words and role-play with their favorite silly characters
  • The convenient bucket provides integrated storage for all your 53 pieces
  • The set even comes with a WordWorld DVD

    I have never heard of Word World I must have missed your first reference to it.

    It looks like something Hailey would really enjoy and benefit from and I am off to
    check it out. ( might be my computer but the comment box seems to be letting
    me type off into oblivion on the side bar though I can’t see what I am typing)
    so I keep hitting enter…hope my comment doesn’t look totally weird)

    We watch WordWorld a lot at our house. My favorite thing about it is that it puts my Girlie in a trance. No, wait, that’s not it! It’s that it’s entertaining & musical while introducing kids to simple spelling.

  7. We are all about WordWorld in this house. Even my 8 year old loves it. I love the concept of using words to create the object to promote reading. My 4 year old plays the Word World games on PBSKids as well.

  14. Word World is one of the tv choices my kids always agree on for their 1 hour everyday. I love that it is geared not only for preschoolers, but for older kids as well. The characters are so bright and fun too. I like that they are made out of their word! Thank you for offering this giveaway, we would get so much use out of it!

    My daughter loves Word World. I like it because it teaches some life lessons (sharing, caring, etc) alongside the spelling, letters, and sounds.

    I think Word World is fantastic. I love how Duck gets things wrong and has to fix it. My daughter thinks it’s great because she laughs at his mistakes and tells me how she would fix them.

  27. I love Word World because my son is 4 and really recognizes letters and can sound out some simple words (like “Mama”). I feel like he is just on the CUSP of being able to read and I love that Word World helps with that in a FUN way. Learning and fun, together!

    I’m so familiar with Word World that I can sing the theme song. Unfortunately Princess only gets to watch it on the weekend due to a conflict between when I need to be at work and our PBS schedule but she loves it. This show was the final aid that helped her start to sound out words. We had started to introduce the concept at home but it wasn’t until she saw it happen as they built a word on the show that it clicked in her little brain.

    My two year old thinks she’s seen it before when we see the toys at Target, but honestly I’ve never seen so she can’t have either unless it was at grandma’s!

  57. I love Word World! I use it as a learning tool with my autistic kids that I work with (and the older kids that I babysit for love it at well). It is one of my FAVORITE kid shows out at the moment.

    My kids LOVE Word World, and my mom records it so they have extra episodes to watch when they visit her. My MIL, a preschool teacher, says it’s great for pre-readers since they can see what letters form different words.

    I love Word World – and so does my daughter. I like how repetitive they are with the words they’re learning and the problem solving that they do. My daughter has started to recognize and READ because she can see the words in “action”.

    I have not heard of WordWorld before, but it looks awesome!! It looks like something my preschool-age son would play with over and over again. He is really starting to love things with little pieces. I love the fact that letters are included.

    My daughter loves word world. She’s almost 3 and loves anything involving the alphabet. I like how the show shows that changing one letter completely changes the word. Like when they accidentally use an R and end up with a rake instead of a Cake.

    My 4 year old saw a “Word World Owl” on clearance at Target today and I didn’t know what it was, so this is actually good timing on finding this contest! I wish I’d known because he wound up picking a toy that isn’t as educational! I googled Word World and will have to check into it further! He loves Lego blocks too so this sounds like a great idea!
