Joes Loves Musings of a Housewife!

I have 2 pair of Joe’s and I love them.  LOVE.  One pair I was given for review for my holiday gift guide.  These jeans are SWEET!

The other pair I purchased last summer — they are actually capris.  I wore them TO DEATH.

One word of warning: Joes stretch.  A LOT.  Buy them tight because they will expand.  I wish I had bought a size smaller.

Use the code JoesLovesmusings at checkout to get 50% off your second pair of jeans at the Joe’s Jean’s online store.  (Parental Warning: photos on this site are rated PG-13.  I wouldn’t view with children nearby.)

any pointers for online buying, as far as size goes, length etc. I find that most of the AWESOME jeans are WAY to long for me and they are never the same one you have them tailored.

Good questions! First, you really have to go to the store and try them on. It’s the only way. Then you can order online, once you know your size and the style that fits you.

Second, you almost ALWAYS have to have designer jeans hemmed. I have tried many places with varying degrees of success. You DEFINITELY want them to retain the original hem. If they don’t know how to do that, RUN FAR AND FAST. Ask around for a good tailor. The dry cleaners can usually do it, but some are better than others. I’ve had them done at Nordstrom. They are most reliable.

I’d just ask around in your area. GOOD LUCK!

  3. Oh no — this is BAD news.

I just got a pair, and I didn’t want them to be tight. I didn’t order them big, but right where I was (and with the post-holiday pounds, I thought that they might be tight for the moment).

The actually fit pretty well. There are tight areas, but I think it will be fine with washing and drying.

And my yes they are LONG.

If you dry them, they do shrink up a bit. What kind did you get? Do you love them?

I am on the hunt for new jeans, so I will have to check this one out. Thanks!!

I have a pair of Joes, too and I LOVE them! They do stretch, so I would definitely buy a size smaller than you normally would, and they wash well. If you hit up Nordstrom Rack stores, you can get yours for way cheaper than original prices (I got a pair for under $80!!).

Can I get those abs at Joes, too? ;)

  8. Jo-Lynne says:

    Yeah, Sarah, I wish.

  9. I bought a pair of Joe’s after Aubryn was born to fit me until I could get back into my pre-prego jeans. I absolutely loved them. I have never seen the capris before – I’ll have to check them out this spring. I am really on the hunt for a good pair of designer capris.

I always get my designer jeans hemmed at Nordstrom. They will do it for free if you buy them there. I also have the name of a great tailor in our area for jeans if you are interested…

I love my Joe’s jeans. One of the 2 pairs I was able to get back into post-prego. It was glorious… and they are still glorious!

Totally cute! I’ve never owned a pair of Joe’s Jeans, but you’re making me reconsider.
