Links and Shout Outs

This is a MUST read for any blogger who desires to review products — Are Mommybloggers Misunderstanding the Marketing Game?

And THIS is a must read if you use Twitter.  I get SO sick of all the RT (that’s a retweet for you all still living in Twitter ignorance) posts but yet I still use them and still appreciate them when others retweet MINE.  But they really are getting old.  There is a BETTER way to retweet, says Darren at ProBlogger.  I totally love this.  I’m doing it from now on.

Okay, enough with the blogging links.  Here are a few good reads — go grab a fresh cuppa coffe and hunker down for a good chuckle.

We talked about the “town gown” or “maxi dress” yesterday.  Here is a professional guide on how to wear it, should you feel the spirit move you to do so.  How To Wear: The Maxi Dress — Wardrobe 911

  1. I agree. A lot of re-tweeting is going on right now. It’s getting kind of annoying. I know people are trying to promote their contests and get entries, but seriously.

Some things need to be re-tweeted.

I’m getting tired of the spammers with the same tweets, every 10 minutes too.

    Have a great weekend!

  4. AWESOME link on the RT. I RT a LOT and have used “via” only when sharing links I gleaned from a blog, never another’s tweet. LOVE THIS. Thanks for sharing, Jo-Lynne, you Twitter Maven, you!

  5. Excellent weekly re-cap. Thanks so much. I missed the BlogHer article but the topic is high on my radar as I was interviewed and had a v. brief mention in the Forrester Report they were discussing. Really great advice in the BlogHer article and loved the Retweet ideas. And isn’t Steph’s birth story just amazing? I had been reading her blog daily waiting for news on her new arrival. What a birth story. Loved it.

I was a RT abuser and didn’t even know it. Thanks for pointing out this great article.

Something weird is going on with my website. Can you advise? Thanks. (Photobucket)

I like that RT tip cuz usually we kind of all follow the same circles anyway – so it’d be nice to see someone put their own views on the RT as well.

    The problogger, always thinkin…

  9. Awesome blog makeover, girl :)

  10. You’re my new best friend. I have wondered what RT meant! Now it makes total sense, and I agree it is annoying. Love the via option.

Thanks so much for linking to my first post about my new baby. You sent over quite a bit of traffic and I really appreciate that. Muchas Gracias!
