And here we are again. Well, whaddya know? Simon’s backtracking. Now he says that everyone was good last night. He’s also gracing the stage with the cheapest-looking, paper-thin white undershirt he’s ever worn. I refuse to call those disgraceful things T-shirts.
OMG. That food fight. I could hardly watch. All I could think of was, who is going to have to clean up that mess?
Okay, seriously, I typed that before the “bill” from the maid service arrived with Danny’s name on it.
Um, Paula, this show was rated PG the last time I checked. That’s just a wardrobe malfunction waiting to happen.
And is that a third ear or a hair accessory?
So Matt and Kris are put together on one side of the stage, and Allison and Danny are on the other. Ryan is painfully predictable when he asks Adam to pick the group he belongs in. Finally Adam chooses to stand with Allison and Danny.
HOWEVER. Adam is moved to the bottom three with… Duh. Duh. Duhhhhhhh…
Kris and Matt.
Well now. That’s certainly interesting, but in light of the Chris Daughtry upset of 2006, not at all surprising. And it ain’t over yet, now is it?
And meanwhile, GOOOOOO, ALLISON!!!!!!!!!! WOOT!! I’m so glad to see her sitting safe and sound with Danny Boy.
Okay, so yeah, I had to take a break and go upstairs to comfort a sick baby. Yes, her fever spiked again tonight. JOY. And um. Swine flu, anyone? Just pretend that I’m not paranoid or prone to melodrama.
I got back down here just in time to see Taylor Hicks perform. I LOVE it when prior contestants come back and burn up the stage. That was awesome. And WHY haven’t I heard about this new album? I’d download that song to my iPod in a second.
It’s time to send someone back to safety, and guess what? It’s Kris. I’m still not getting my panties in a wad. I think Matt’s the one to go home. That’s my story and I’m sticking to it.
Meanwhile, Jamie Foxx gets his turn to shine.
Then it’s the moment of truth. Yes, I say that every week. I’m nothing if not predictable. Me and Ryan.
And Adam is safe. Matt goes home. Again.
Once again, America gets it right.
That’s all I’ve got. Over and out.

perfect.
I’ll second every bit of this
I think America was right, including having Adam in the bottom. I acknowledge his talent, but last night was not his best, and the others were good.
Thank you for filling me in. My satellite quick funtioning due to the weather here and it’s still not working. I’m so glad I have your wrap-ups to read! : )
And p.s. I won’t miss Matt.
I am SO with you on the food fight thing. I think it’s a Mom thing. In fact, just before that segment of the show, the commercial came on where the family is in an ice cream shop and the dad pours out the entire HUGE container of sprinkles on the counter. I said to my family that I hated that commercial because it makes me so uncomfortable to think about who would have to clean up that mess. So I was already dying over messes and then the food fight . . .! ARGH!!
So, one of the local DJ’s here mentioned that he thought Simon was trying to rig the show with his commentary on the contestets. Reminded me of your recap last night. Maybe there’s something to this theory…
Yes, that shirt he was wearing was rather odd, even for Simon’s standards. I thought the same thing. And, i wasn’t so sure Jamie Foxx shined. That song annoyed me. I hated to see Matt go, but at this juncture I like them all. I was hoping it would be Allison first though. Enjoyed your recap.
Good recap.
I loved you comments about the judges wardrobes.
Didn’t you find it funny that in the past when someone was asked to choose a group – they refused to choose – but not Adam – I couldn’t believe he actually chose a group!
I agree I loved Taylor Hicks last night, and Jamie Foxx was not so good, seemed like the audience wasn’t too thrilled with him either.
Can’t wait for Rock N Roll week!

You’re not the only paranoid one – my oldest has been waking up the last two nights to puke, and she’s had a higher than normal temperature during the day (but otherwise is acting normal). I’m taking her to the doctor in the morning – the Swine Flu has me slightly paranoid, especially since she’s never been sick before.
