Mega thanks to Mary for the tip on the Certo.  Worked like a charm!  Much better than my last attempt.

And, as if you don’t get enough of me right here, my latest Parenting Squad post is up — I’m Just Not THAT Kind of Mom.  Thankfully, I’m not alone.  Sugar expressed the same sentiment last week in her post, Good Mom, Bad Mom.

    I don’t understand what you did?!? I see the picture of the certo and something that looks like jelly/jam. And a comment about they can’t wait till the strawberries show up at the grocery store. I only follow you on musings of a housewife, can you explain what you did?

    My mom has been making fresh jam for years now and I’ve always enjoyed hers. She gives them out to all our friends as well. I made my first batch this year and I was so excited. I thought I’d share mine with all my friends til I realized how long it took and I can’t bring myself to give it away now!!!

    Wow – that’s cool! I’ve never made jam before because it seems so hard, but I might just be able to swing this. After all, I just conquered the “cute pink cookie” via Taste of Home so I think I can do anything! ;)
