Just because you aren’t in Chicago right now partying it up at BlogHer doesn’t mean you have to stay home and wash your hair. My dear friend Robin over at Pensieve had the fantastic idea to host a party of her own — a cyber party she calls Blog Hop. The best thing about a cyber party is that no one cares what you’re wearing or if you smell good. So put on those jammies, pour yourself a drink, and power up the laptop for an evenin’ of meetin’ and greetin’.
Robin and I have teamed up this year to bring you the second annual Blog Hop (which basically means she did all the work, and I made a blog button. Oh yeah, and I found a few cool prizes to add to her growing list.)
Wait, did someone say prizes?
Well, what’s a blog party without prizes? And just you wait till you see the prizes we have lined up! There’s a $25 Build a Bear gift card, a $50 Paula Deen gift card, 12 Naturally Nora cake and/or frosting mixes (a $50 value), a black ECOBAGS(R) Talk Green To Me tote bag, a $52 selection of Sun & Earth products, and the $150 registration fee to the Type-A Mom Conference, for starters. All the deets are on Robin’s site, but basically all you do is put our button on your sidebar using this code:
Then write a post telling us a little bit about yourself, link in to Robin’s carnival post, and start visiting!
Oh and hey! You’ll want to plan to join us for a little video chat tomorrow night (Friday) at 10 EST.
So for those of you who don’t know me, I’m Jo-Lynne. I’ve been blogging since April of 2006, and it’s been a wild ride. I started out wanting an outlet to keep up with friends and family from afar, but it soon turned into a writing hobby and then a part-time job. This blog has taken me to places like Disney World, New York City, and Boston to partner with companies who want to reach moms. It’s given me the opportunity to host local events that give back to the community and to speak about my favorite topic (blogging, of course!) at the She Speaks Conference in a few weeks. It has provided me with a home-based business designing blogs that allows me to make some extra spending money while staying at home with our three kids. But most importantly, this blog has brought me a community of friends from all over the world who I would have never met without it, and I couldn’t be more grateful for that.
I live in a rural suburb of Philadelphia with my husband and three kids. This is a photo of us taken at a family wedding a few weeks ago.
I am passionate about my faith, my family, food, and fashion. (And alliteration, clearly.) Please feel free to poke around and read about my escapades. (Warning: I can get a little, um, wordy at times. Sorry about that.) If you’re interested in our family’s commitment to getting back to a traditional diet, you can read more about that in my Health and Wellness posts. I have a series of How-To posts touching on a variety of topics from cooking to blog design, and I love to talk Fashion and Shopping. I also host a weekly carnival on Tuesdays called What I Learned This Week, and I’d love it if you’d join in!
Well, I won’t keep you. I know you have lots of blogs to hop around to this weekend! But please take the time to leave a comment so I know who stopped by and I can return the visit. Party on!

I, personally, LIKE the dress!
I’m sure you have a wonderful personality to go right along with it!
Nice meeting you “at the Hop”!
I’m at home with a sick baby instead of at Blogher right now, so I thought I’d participate at the Blog Hop, to keep myself from staring at the BlogHer tweets and feeling sorry for myself for not being able to make it.
I must say, you look fantastic in that dress, woman!

Nice to meet you.
Hi Jo-Lynne!
My name is Christine and it’s great to get to know you here.
After reading your introduction and then poking around a bit, I came across your post “So Is It Really Worth All The Fuss?” Funny, well not, but ironically these are some of the same questions, concerns that have been running through my head these past 6 months or so. I really haven’t known where to begin. So you can imagine I appreciate some of the reading material you posted and you can bet I’ll be checking it out.
I look forward to getting to know more about you and I’ll be following your journey in Health & Wellness.
PS Great Dress! Beautiful Family!
