What an awesome opportunity to discuss those things. Ah, it's so very hard to be wise with the cash.
We start the week before labor day, but the elementary school that my kids attend doesn't have a/c either. My daughter is now in a newer Intermediate school, and it does, as does most of the other elementary schools. Just not theirs. And yes it's hard to believe. The first few weeks of September and most of June can be pretty sticky.

Great post!

What an awesome opportunity to discuss those things. My kids school here in Maryland does not have air conditioning. For hubby and I, the Colorado folk this is completely ridiculous! It comes up at every PTA meeting/school function once the temperatures begin to rise. It really gets unbearable in there. My husband the engineer thinks we can fix it. I doubt it.

I do the same with my kids. I think learning these lessons are important.

My kids school here in Maryland does not have air conditioning. My oldest is like that...she agonizes over every decision. Drives me crazy, and yet I know I do it too.

Sounds like a good trip! We never really do a big BTS shop, but then again I have boys! My older DS always says he does not need anything, how nice!
Of course we always have to go buy the new sneakers they are required to leave at school for gym class.

Sounds like you had a fun trip!<br
