5 Grammar Mistakes that Make You Sound Like a Chimp by copyblogger. Great list. #1 is one of my biggest pet peeves EVER.
Try This: Spice Up Your Kitchen by girlymama. My good friend girlymama shares my love of cooking and healthy living, and she is starting a monthly recipe carnival. Each one will have a theme. She kicks it off this Tuesday, and she wants you to link up with your best vegetarian dinner recipe. I am trying to incorporate more meatless dishes into my repertoire, so I am very anxious to see what everyone comes up with!
How To: Smoky Eyes by Allison Czarnecki for Design Mom. I met Allison on my TJMaxx trip. We hit it off instantly. She’s one of those people I wish I new better. She’s absolutely as gorgeous in person as she is in these photos, and I am loving her tutorial on doing the smoky eye.
Military jackets salute the season by youlookfab. I’m not a huge fan of this look. It just doesn’t work well on me. However, that plumb wool coat in the bottom right? I think that needs to come home to Mama. Alas, it appears that it’s only available in gray. Boo-hoo. By the by, I bought the purple dress I linked to last week. It’s PERFECT. For what, I’m not entirely sure. But I’ll find somewhere to wear it.

Great grammar list, but I disagree wih him on “an historic.” It may be outdated, but I wouldn’t say it is on the same level as the others!
My big one is “loose” instead of “lose.” I see it all the time and it drives me batty!
Loved the smoky eye tutorial — I’m going to check out her blog more often!
Thank God for the internet so I can look up whether or not I sound like a chimp before I hit “POST”.
Usually I still go back and change something, though, ha ha!
Oh have mercy. I need to just quit blogging right now. I’m sure people leave my posts pulling their hair out and screaming! LOL. But I type like I speak so that’s all I got to say about that! LOL. Though if you spoke to me you’d be so distracted by my facial expressions that I think you’d eventually forget that I speak redneck! Hee! Hee!
I’m going to so NO to the military jackets this year. Yup, I know, I will completely and utterly remain out of style as usual!
Hugs to you girlfriend.
Kim
The celebrity quotes on the grammar blog being “accidently hilarious” made me think of the basketball player who said “I can dribble with my left hand, I can dribble with my right hand. I’m amphibious!”
Great catch on that smokey eyes post…I’ve always wondered how to do that but have been to lazy to look it up. {shrug}
Great links! I have the perfect recipe for the “Try This” carnival…I just posted it earlier this evening.
When you linked to that purple dress last week, I thought, “That would look great on Jo-Lynne.”
I’m so happy you bought it.
I hope you’ll post pictures someday…
