I love the story of your kids names and I know what you mean about not putting the names out there. This is going to be really hard to do without saying theirs.

The boys have my husbands name for their middle names. Boy #1 has the same middle name has Hubs. Boy #2 has Hubs’ first name as his middle name. That way it makes it a family name and the grandparents couldn’t say a word!!!

I like this one! I have always loved naming things. My dolls all had a string of names…like 3 or 4 middle names. I grew up on a farm, and named every rabbit, chicken, and goat we ever had. That ruled out some of my favorite names when my kids were born. After all, how can your name your child a name that has already belonged to a goat or a chicken? I was also a teacher, which ruled out a bunch of names, too.

My son was named after a family friend and his father. I have a nephew that is named after both his grandfathers. My cousin creatively named her daughter by taking the first two letters of her best friend’s name and her mother’s name and added the three letters of our grandmother’s nickname. It’s beautiful and special.
