A Tale of Forsaken Chocolate Lava Cake

Two years ago I had the privilege of attending the very first Mom Blogger Mixer, compliments of Maria Bailey and Walt Disney World.  It was a whirlwind of a weekend, and the last night we were treated to dinner at the California Grill — an acclaimed restaurant atop the Contemporary Hotel, overlooking the Magic Kingdom.

We dined with the Executive Chef at Epcot, and we were treated to the most popular items from the dinner menu — among them Sonoma Goat Cheese Ravioli with Sun-dried Tomatoes and a warm chocolate cake with molten center.

As it turned out, we were in a rush to make our reservations at Cirque Du Soleil La Nouba (I KNOW!) and we were forced to leave the table without finishing our desserts.

For two years I’ve been looking forward to coming back to the California Grill and finishing my Valrhona Chocolate Cake.  Well tonight, my dream came true.

I also enjoyed the goat cheese lasagne and the oak-fired filet of beef.  YUMMO.

I unfortunately read your title with the word “foreskin” instead of “foresaken.” Needless to say, I was a bit taken aback by that! lol!

I love it when food is served so elegantly. I dined at Napa Rose @ the Grand Californian this past weekend and it was DIVINE. I had scallops, swordfish, chardonnay, and strawberry ice cream – and it was all delicious (and beautiful).
