Creative Memories Digital Center

Back in the day, before social media was even a phrase, I was an avid scrapbooker.  I was even a Creative Memories consultant for a several years.  I spent hours creating page layouts that I often copied from their Idea Books (loved those things!) and I was meticulous about keeping my scrapbooks up to date, to the point that my husband used to joke that I had today scrapbooked already.

But then I had kids and more kids, and I discovered a passion for writing, and my scrapbooks have been sorely neglected ever since.  I confess that I find it easier to throw together a photo book while I’m already sitting at the computer than to drag out all of those papers and pens and stickers.

With many scrapbookers turning to the digital arena to keep up with their family albums, it doesn’t come as any surprise that Creative Memories, a company that has been at the forefront of the scrapbooking industry since its inception, is still be one step ahead of the game.  And now Creative Memories offers digital scrapbooking solutions in addition to the traditional materials.  When they contacted me to share about their new digital center, I was eager to check it out.

As of November 1 of this year, Creative Memories has a brand new digital center.  Just check this out.  They have pages of digital layout ideas, digital tips and techniques, and even a digital team.  Don’t worry, if you’re not an original thinker (I can guarantee you that I am not!) there are even drag ‘n drop templates as well as digital kits to create fully custom photo storybooks.  I poked around for a while, and it’s really quite impressive.

What is your favorite way to keep up with your family’s memories?  Do you scrapbook?  Journal?  Blog?

This post is a part of the Creative Memories–Blissful Media campaign. This post is sponsored, but as always, my opinions are not.

I’m not a big scrapper. I made one successful scrapbook for my son when he graduated from high school. I have my husband’s and my wedding scrapbook still under construction. I prefer to use photos and keep them on my computer or use my blog.

  2. I wondering if we will “convert” you to the dark side aka digital scrapbooking?

    Hope so :)

I love to scrapbook – but can’t seem to make it happen right now so I’m journaling, taking lots of pictures and making a photo book every Christmas for the grandparents. One of these days though… I still feel the pull of the fancy ink pens and the stickers!

I actually love digital scrapbooking and did quite a big BB (Before Blogging.)

I scrapbooked our honeymoon using all Creative Memories products…I will definitely check out their new digital line!

p.s. I am not so hot at scrapbooking these days but over Christmas break I hope to order our fave pics from the year and put them in a nice album.

I used to scrapbook “back in the day” too. Now, however, I consider my blog to be a scrapbook of sorts. It’s actually just as pretty…and much more comprehensive. :)

I love SBC+ and use it for so many things in addition to scrapbooking – it’s a great program & very easy to use! I am also behind in my scrapbooking but am now able to find little chunks of time to work on my digital projects. That’s much easier to do than hide out in my workshop trying to fit in a page or two between loads of laundry :)
