It’s beginning to look a LOT. LIKE. CHRIST-MASSSSSS!

As you can tell, I’ve been decking my bloggy halls. If only my house was this festive. For some reason, most people don’t find a sink full of dirty dishes and a laundry room full of stinky clothes reflective of Christmas cheer. Bah-humbug.

It’s not like I’ve done NOTHING. Last night I made my first of what will be many batches of my famous Peanut Butter Balls. Then I sat down with the Fam and watched Elf. I’ve swapped out most of my everyday dishes for my Christmas dishes, and I gleefully drank my morning coffee from a festive Christmas tree mug.

Of course I still have Snow Villages to display and a tree to decorate and yards of pine roping to drape and about 20 strands of white lights to string around my yard. Oh. And 150 Christmas cards to address.  But other than that, I’m in good shape.

I think I need a nap.

Trust me. There’s nothing else to photograph. :-) Maybe this time next weekend there will be, but right now it’s just piles of laundry and clutter EV-ER-Y-WHERE.

  4. At least you don’t have baby announcements to address as well as the Xmas cards. :)

I like the new profile pic! I’ve been thinking about updating mine for a while since it’s very old but then I remember I JUST HAD A BABY. So no new pictures for now. (ha)

My fall decorations only went up in time for Thanksgiving. I need to enjoy them a week or two before I even think of swapping them out for Christmas Decorations. Of course, then I’ll want to keep those up until Easter!

I finished most of our Christmas Cards today! Yay! Of course, we’ve trimmed our list to less than 50 so that really, really helps!
These are the first Christmas cards we’ve sent since my father-in-law passed away 5 years ago. And lucky me–I found handcrafted cards on Etsy for no more than I would pay at a box store! Wooooooooohoooooooo!
    I’m excited!

The tree is up and the outside is decorated but my Dept 56 houses still need to be put out and a few other decorations need to be done. Why is it taking me so long to do 30 minutes of work?!

No Christmas cards for us this year! I’m going to enjoy the next month and ditch the cards and not feel quilty about it (course a week after Christmas I’ll get this overwhelmingly horrible feeling that I forgot to do something…)

  8. Love love the new bloggy look….

I have accomplished basically zero of my holiday “to-do” list…. I guess I should get on that, right?

  9. My tree is going up today (if I can muster up enough energy to do it). Pray for me.

LOL. Yeah, well, word to the wise. Don’t let the water in the double boiler boil dry. Sigh… I threw out a whole pan of chocolate tonight. UGH.

Sounds like my house is “decorated” the same way as yours is. With dirty dishes and heaps of laundry, that is. ;)

P.S. Our tree actually is up. My husband and 3-year-old put it up yesterday. You should have seen her little face light up as they hung the decorations together. She just couldn’t stop smiling.
