What You May Not Know About Internet Safety — Parenting Squad. See what I learned at the Leap Frog sponsored event on internet safety I attended in NYC a few weeks ago.
Can Anger Be Constructive? — Parenting Squad. Another article I wrote for Parenting Squad, discussing 5 causes of anger and how putting a label on our feelings can help us redirect our negative energy to a more productive response.
And that’s enough shameless self promotion!
Highlights from the Real Food Twitter Party — Naturally Knocked Up. I jumped in and out of this Twitter party Thursday night between working on blog designs and watching Survivor. Sounds like I missed some great convos. I’ll try to participate more next time! YES, there is a next time. Regular “real food” Twitter parties the first Thurs of each month. I’m generally not a fan of Twitter parties, as they tend to clog up the Twitter stream, but this is one I might tune into from time to time.
Bloggertunity, A Mom’s Guide to Blogging — Metropolitan Mama. My good bloggy friend Stephanie has written an eBook on blogging. She was nice enough to give me a sneak peek, and it was everything I knew it would be. Over the years that she’s been reading my blog, Stephanie has won me over with her thoughtful comments, her smart business sense, and her commitment to her family. This is a girl to watch, I’m telling you. I’ve watched her grow as a blogger, and now she’s sharing that knowledge in her eBook. You may want to check it out!
Fort Hood Hero is a Mom — Mommy Life. Cold chills, that’s all I have to say about this.

Just went to a talk today called Feeding Your Kids Right by “Dr. Ann” who lives in Charleston, SC and has been featured in all sorts of magazines and newspapers. Thought of you and wanted to share her link. She’s not into ‘whole foods’ but had a lot of great information about how we’re poisoning our children with processes foods, etc. and they’re paying the consequences. She was so very passionate and her conviction was contagious. Here’s the link…

thanks for the links!!
Loved your anger article. You verbalized exactly what I have been working on lately. I came to realize that unmet expectations and having my rights infringed upon are my two worst culprits! I’ve been trying to deal with those more specifically lately rather than just “trying not to get angry”.
I am SO glad you mentioned Stephanie’s ebook. Someone else (I can’t even remember who) mentioned it a couple of weeks ago, but I either forgot or neglected to bookmark it. I’ve been searching all over for the link to that. Hooray! Now I have it.
As usual, you are a wealth of information. Thanks!
Glad the working mom who brought down the killer is getting some attention. So many times working moms get a bad rap! You can be a Mom AND do great things with your career.
Thanks for mentioning my book, Jo-Lynne. You’re such a great “blog friend” and I am happy to know you. I sincerely hope that we have an opportunity to meet in-person one day…soon.
