He&#039;s been craving broccoli cheddar soup, and adding potatoes makes it more frugal (besides, he loves potatoes).  I left out the chicken stock, though.  I didn&#039;t have any homemade, and lately I&#039;ve been leaving it out of a lot of vegetable soups that call for it and not really missing it.  I&#039;m sure the health value is good, but sometimes you want something that DOESN&#039;T taste like chicken for a change.  (I make a LOT of soup, and I try to make them as different as possible because I like variety.)
I didn&#039;t watch the video again while making the soup, so I&#039;m not sure what else I did that wasn&#039;t like yours.  I just threw in potatoes, broccoli, milk, and cheese sort of in random amounts, and seasoned to taste.
