I’m taking Big Mama‘s lead this week, and I’m going to post some links to things I like. Just ’cause I’m in the market for some new tops and I thought I’d post some cute ones that I’ve seen lately.
1. The Bobeau Marled Cardigan from Nordstrom. I picked up one of these today in plum. It’s perfect to throw on with a black tank top and jeans tucked into boots. In fact, you will probably see me wearing exactly that if you’re at Blissdom.
2. I also picked up this Drawstring Cardigan in winter green. You just can’t beat that price.
3. I tried on this Cowl Neck Kimono sweater today. I didn’t buy it, but it was kind of cute, especially for someone who isn’t crazy about her upper arms but has a tiny waist. I’m the opposite, so I left it on the rack.
4. Isn’t this Olivia Sky Inset Tie Waist Cardigan adorable? I don’t do so well with things that tie at the waist, but I think this sweater is gorgeous in ivory.
5. Last week at the Martha Stewart show, Julie wore this Beatrix Ost Pleated Waterfall Cardigan. She was so adorable in it. If it goes on sale anytime soon, I’m gonna snag one for myself.
6. I also think this Chiffon Trim Open-Front Cardigan is super cute.
7. I’m usually not a ruffly girl, but I think could pull off this Merino ethereal ruffle cardigan in one of the darker colors, like the wild plum. It’s nice because you could dress it up or down.
8. Finally, doesn’t this Always cardigan look so comfy? Picture it with yoga pants and a tank top and a mug of hot chocolate in front of the fireplace after the kids go to bed watching Jack Bauer save the world… Heavenly.
I have to add, I am SORELY disappointed in the sweater choices at Banana Republic right now. I just had to share.
And now, it is time to watch Jack Bauer save the world. Yes, we’re a couple of days behind. No spoilers please.
For more Fashion Friday, head on over to Big Mama‘s, where evidently spring is in the air. Because she doesn’t live in the frozen tundra like I do, where spring feels like years away.

Who doesn’t love a cute sweater!!!
Loved Fashion Friday! Between you and Big Mama, I’m itching to work my card.
I am loving the drawstring cardigan !!
I tried on #2 and #3, too! I also bought this http://shop.nordstrom.com/S/3058656?Category=&Search=True&SearchType=predictivesearch&keyword=halogen&origin=searchresults, but am having buyer’s remorse.
Cute stuff! I don’t think I’ve ever seen a pic of you wearing a print!!
Cute! But down here we aren’t shopping for anything sweaterish at this point, it was 80 degrees yesterday! But I got some super cute things on clearance at Macy’s yesterday
I like the more fitted cardigans you featured towards the end. The drapey ones just look like they’d swallow my petite frame (except my non-petite belly of course) right up. I like that you include some pictures, so we don’t have to click on quite so many links.
OK, I need #6… but on sale! I love cardigans and sweaters. I need to work on the tiny waist thing so that I could pull of that cowl neck sweater – it’s pretty awesome too!
Loving the jcrew ruffle cardigan and the waterfall cardigan…I’m really into ruffles lately, someone should stop me.
My DH so got me #4 in brown for Christmas!!
Is it as cute as it looks? I keep looking at it, thinking about ordering it. I didn’t see it in the store yesterday so I’m not sue how it would fit me.
I have the Always Cardigan from Jcrew and it’s just as comfy as it looks. It’s easy to dress up for work or down (with yoga pants, hot chocolate, tv….:)) Now you’re making me want to order it in gray.
Nordstrom is going to love you, baby! I’m getting that Ivory sweater. Mmmmm.
LOVE these! Makes me wanna shop real bad.
I can’t wear tops that tie at the waist either, which is a shame b/c they are SO POPULAR right now. Thanks to some great genes, my body is pretty much a rectangle. Makes me feel so feminine…or not.
I love #1 – I think it will look great on you at Blissdom. I hope you have a fabulous time!
Kristin, that is because I’m rather afraid of prints. Perhaps this has something to do with it – http://www.musingsofahousewife.com/2009/01/our-wedding.html
I love the look of that first one – the light flowing fabric. Except. And its a BIGGY – if you have bulges where you would rather not, that throw/cardigan is like a big pointing arrow at your behind area! I tried on 3 of them. Same one. I adore it. But not THAT much.
Love your selections! Esp. #6 & 7.
I went cardigan shopping yesterday hoping to find something springy to beat off the winter blues…guess what I liked best? A Black cardigan, sheesh like I need more black.
We don’t have ANY of those stores here except LOFT! I did get the cocoon collar long cardigan on sale from banana republic online for a Christmas gift to myself and I love it! i don’t usually spend a lot on individual pieces, but maybe i should save up and start shopping for quality instead of quantity!
I hope I am not sorely disappointed by the rest of Banana, as the hubs gave me a fat and I do mean fat gift card to there for different. Did I mention it was fat?
I’m not totally thrilled, because now that Target utterly copies Banana, I no longer need to go there to stock up on t-shirts etc.
In fact, I would have gotten giddier over a fat gc to Target.
Such is my life nowadays.
to there for CHRISTMAS. Different??
it’s late.
Hooray for Fashion Friday! I’ve missed your fashion posts immensely.
That Always Cardigan by J.Crew is my favorite. Navy is such a classic color too.
And I agree about the sweater options at Banana Republic this season…nothing particularly remarkable there.
