This giveaway is closed. The winner is Mel @ A Box of Chocolates!! I hope you enjoy your new jewelry.
At Blissdom, I received a $50 gift card to the vintage pearl and I met two of the lovely ladies behind the beautiful hand stamped jewelry.
Like this.
And this.
And since I already have a couple of pieces of hand stamped jewelry in my dresser drawer, I thought that I’d use this gift certificate as a giveaway, just because I appreciate you all. And because I have a minor case of the winter blues, and I thought it might be fun to make somebody squeal with delight. And because I hit 1400 subscribers today, and that’s as good a reason as any to celebrate.
I’m going to ask one thing. If you already have a meaningful piece of stamped jewelry, please pass on this giveaway so that someone who doesn’t have one might have a chance. Of course, if you want to use it as a gift for a special someone, that’s entirely your prerogative.
Just leave a comment and tell me anything — serious, funny, sad… anything. Just not “great giveaway!” or “pick me!”
I’ll randomly select a winner sometime next week.

The word “nudiustertian” means the day before yesterday.
Okay, that made me laugh. THANK YOU!
1400 subscribers…WOW! One day I want to be just like you. I don’t have a handstamped piece of jewelry but always wanted one, however not looking so good now cause you know #1 never gets chosen with randomizers. Guess I’ll add it to my birthday list!!
Well now you’re #3. Hope that improves your odds!
Her jewelry is the coolest ever and I would love to have a piece in my jewelry box!
I love handstamped jewelry but I don’t own any. Funny? Hmm. The last thing to make me laugh was thinking about the SNL skit of “I need more cowbell!”
Today is our anniversary, and whether I win this or not, I will eventually buy the circle of love bracelet and have my name and Husband’s name and our anniversary stamped on it. I was going to ask for it for Christmas, but waited too long and now I have to wait for the budget to catch up with the want.
happy anniversary!!
“The only way to have a friend is to be one.”
Why is it that I always seem to have plenty to say until someone says tell me something… LOL!
How about I hate dog hair and I am considering shaving both dogs bald but I won’t because it is the dead of winter here so that would be cruel. But that makes me wonder then WHY ARE THEY SHEDDING don’t they need that hair to keep them warm?
I am excited about this giveaway. I don’t have any jewelry like it and I think it is beautiful.
Today is International Pancake Day, Mardi Gras, Shrove Tuesday, Bursting Day (Iceland) and Independence Day (Lithuania).
Oh, and when I stand up straight and look down, I can no longer see my feet. Fun times!
Well you’re just a fount of useless information, aren’t you?
I remember when I couldn’t see my feet. When are you due, anyway??
Gosh, I’d be thrilled with 100 subscribers. Can’t even imagine having 1400! The paparazzi must be blinding!
Eh. I’m small potatoes compared to some.
Hmm, I’m excited because my husband who has been out of town for a week comes home tomorrow.
I have to tell my dog not to lick the couch nearly every day.
Alrighty then!
I’ve been looking around for a hand-stamped necklace with my daughters’ names. They have some beautiful things!
I think a beautiful piece of handstamped jewelry with my son-to-be’s name (due in May) would be PERFECT for my handstamped-free jewelry collection!!!
.legitimately comment this leave can I guess I so piece a without am I and jewelry stamped hand the love I
Okay, I’m embarrassed to admit that it took me 3 tries till I realized I was supposed to read that backwards. Ya dork!
Hee! Hee! Hee!
King Tut died of a broken leg & malaria…..poor thing.
LOL. You guys are CRACKING ME UP tonight.
I find the best websites through yours! If I don’t win, I’m going to buy myself one of these!
I made up a winter-hating disorder for myself: SOWS. That stands for “Sick of Winter Syndrome” It’s not as severe as SAD, which is a real depression related to the winter and lack of sun. SOWS just causes the sufferer to a) eat unreasonable amounts of chocolate, especially brownies b) refuse to clean the floors on the grounds that they will just have mud and dead grass on them again in five minutes and c) start purchasing every yellow article of clothing she sees because it reminds her of her long-lost friend, the sun.
Awww you are so sweet to give away you gift certificate. I loved stamped jewelry but don’t have any yet.
Thanks!! Good luck!
something funny…..
i just talked on the phone with my husband, who was at walmart, in the feminine area, and tried to explain what color the box of tampons i wanted is.
he must really love me!
I love her jewelry. Thank you for the giveaway!
New England weather is making me crazy. Last week they said HUGE STORM and I took the day off of work and we got rain. This time they say COUPLE OF INCHES and I stay at work until driving is dangerous in the 6+ inches of snow. Thanks guys.
You know what would help the weather related malaise? A gorgeous new accessory!
p
My little guy has gotten a cold every 2 weeks this winter. I am about to go CRAZY here!!!
ACK! I remember when my daughter had a winter like that. ((hugs))
Okay. So first of all, Kim cracked me up with her backward comment. If I were that cool, I would totally copy her. Unfortunately, I am not that talented.
Second, I love, love, love the “hope” bracelet. As much as I would love to add it to my non-handstamped collection, I have a friend who could really use some hope right now and would adore it.
Third, is it spring yet? Thanks for the giveaway!
As I was reading the comments, I realized there is another Sarah G AND she hates winter too!
I was raised in Hawaii, came to college here in DC, and loved experiencing all the seasons. I didn’t see snow until I was 19, so I was always gleeful when white stuff sprinkled from the sky. Fast forward a decade, and after a week of being stuck in the house with a whiny toddler and shoveling ’til our arms ached, I’d do a lot for the boring 80 degrees year around.
LOL. I thought I loved snow till this week too!
It sure was a lot more romantic pre-kids, wasn’t it?
My daughter will be home from school AGAIN tomorrow for the 7th day in a row. That’s all I can think about right now.
Something funny huh? How about I got brave and bored and decided to do my own highlights with the L’oreal 2-1 hair dye/highlite kit and now have blond/arburn SPOTS all round my part in the middle of my head because it took WELL there but not in the strands.
Or there is the fact that Miss Monk decided to color Sugar (our dog) with Drama Queens Twisty Marker thingys. She (the dog) is now purple, blue, pink, yellow, green, orange and black.
ps. i love the hope one!!
See now. That is why I pay the big bucks and go to the salon.
My 3 1/2 year old was cracking me up yesterday… While taking a President’s Day Quiz, he kept referring to Bell Clinton and Labraham Lincoln.
I live in North Carolina, and am **SO** tired of snow and cold. I’m accustomed to one decent snow (read: 4-6 inches) a year and that melts within a couple days. Blah.
I showed Hubby their website…in hopes of Valentines Day. It didn’t happen, but that’s alright. There will always be another time (like now!!)
I just brought home a dozen eggs from a local farm…instead of my usual white ones from WalMart. They are BEAUTIFUL. Each one is a slightly different brown shade than the one beside it, and they’re so pretty I almost just want to look at them instead of eating them – almost. For only a dollar a dozen, we’re definitely eating them and then getting some more!
Why did the banana go to the Doctor?
Because he wasn’t peeling well.
Joke courtesy of my 4 year old, Alex!
I’m so excited! I finally got my bedroom situated. We’ve been in our new house for six months and some parts of my bedroom carpet have not been seen since the boxes were placed there on move-in day. I even got my home office corner arranged. I built my own shelves and mounted them myself. Just call me Helga, Warrior Princess with a Cordless Drill and Laser Level. Has a nice ring to it. Dontcha think?
Wow, those are really beautiful.
Ok, here is my serious/sad: In two days I leave for the Mom 2.0 Summit in Houston and am going to miss my daughters like crazy. I honestly get teary just thinking about it!
Oh I’m so jealous that you’re going. That one is on my list for next year.
I’m eating the best darn piece of chocolate cake right now!
3 minutes until LOST is on!!!!!
I have totally jumped on your all natural food bandwagon and have used several of your posts as resources to get me started. I can’t do the whole fat stuff yet, but I’m getting there…
Awesome! And just remember. Baby steps.
Gorgeous jewelry!! Hmm…what should I tell you? Well, I’ve already mentioned it in my WILTW, but since it’s so exciting, I’ll tell you again. I’m pregnant!!!
Oh my goodness! I hadn’t gotten there yet. Congratuations!!!!!!!!!
I love hand-stamped jewelry, and I especially like the words on these: “hope” and “faith”! Thanks for giving them away!
I just found your blog and all of your stuff is amazing. I can’t wait to read everything you have to offer.
My mother in law arrived today for a visit, major issues with flights and connections and she doesn’t have a cell phone so it was impossible to find out where she was and what flight. Now she’s been at our house for 2 hours and my husband has left to watch Olympic hockey at a buddies. Can you say pass the wine and win me some jewellery?
My sister had a new baby last night…Kate! We are in love with her already and having a wonderful week because of it. Maybe I’ll win the GC and can give her a piece of jewelry to commemorate the arrival of baby Kate!
LOVE hand-stamped jewelry, but I don’t own any myself. Hubby just lost his job and I’m certain adding to my accessory stash is NOT in the budget for awhile…needless to say, I’d LOVE to be the recipient of this giveaway.
My husband and I are taking our 4 year son to Disney next month! I’m a little nervous about the flight…will he like it or hate it? can we keep him entertained for 3 hours without disrupting everyone else on the plane? I think that we have enough surprised packed in our carry on to do this but we will see in about a month! Wish us luck.
You’ll do fine. Four is fun. Now one, that was rough!
Well I will just tell you that I have turned at least 5 new people on to the Traditional Foods movement thanks to YOUR blog! I started out telling them about granola bar videos and now they’re all afraid of canned tomatoes! LOL … I’m totally serious though, everyone is just LOVING your recipes, articles and just the over all feel of your blog and I thought I would share that with you
It’s also REALLY nice to have a few friends I can talk about this stuff with!!
That is so nice to hear. Thank you! (And I’m giggling at people being afraid of canned tomatoes.)
well, it’s pretty hard to top “I’ll give it to my sister to commemoratethe arrival of baby Kate”. That’s pretty awsome. As is reaching 1,400 subscribers. My great information to share is that it is 33 days till spring today and to celebrate that momentous occasion I called my other snowed in friend in Montana just to say hi, was waved to by every farm tractor driver I seen today (must be the french braids in my hair since I didn’t get a shower in first thing this morning), and my youngest is still not convinced that me being a female is really a good thing. Ah, just a glimpse into my life today! Have fun picking someone and reading all these comments!
Wow, that Hope piece really strikes a chord with me today. I had a job interview this morning and that is how I feel tonight, hopeful, on the edge of my seat, waiting in anticipation… I’m sure you get the picture.
Oh pick me! pick me!!! and… I’ll be your best friend! ;>
Wow, 1400 subscribers! I would be happy to have 14 people following my blog:) But maybe if I posted more then every few months people might stick with me! I have never seen stamped jewelry, but it looks great! I would love to add it to my jewelry box.
the last “push” present i got (at the birth of my daughter) was an aquamarine ring (her birthstone). this pregnancy, we don’t have the money for a “push” present–but i have been eyeing the handstamped jewelry, wondering if that would be in our budget. i have been wanting something that i could get with our growing family in mind!
My first vist here. I love your blog.
Jana, welcome!!! I hope you stop by again sometime.
Maybe a little bling would help distract from the unsightly muffin I’m sporting after giving birth to m fifth little blessing last week. Waistlines are overrated right?
Highly.
I’m relatively new to Twitter and can’t believe how many people are devoted Lost watchers! I feel somehow sub-human to admit that I’ve personally never watched the show. Now my outcast status is here for all the world to know!
Eh. You’re not missing much.
The faith necklace would be perfect. My ministry name is faithWalk!
First time commenter, but I read you every day. You have changed the way I bake (Sucanat, I didn’t even know what that was and now I have a cannister for it! And, I make my own sandwich bread now using your recipe). Your family makes me smile, the way you share your blessings is a gift. Thank you for blogging, and I love the Vintage Pearl in a “someday I will order something and not feel selfish about spending the money” way.
Andrea, thank you. Your comment made my day. Now you need to come out of hiding more often, k?
I am trying to learn to eat more healthy. I have been reading about your change in your eating habits. Do you have any tips of where to go? I am hoping it will help with some of my health problems.
I love the idea of this jewelry. I’m afraid though, that my sarcastic & bad attitude would have me choose an inappropriate word for a necklace right about now.
Perhaps it’s a good idea for someone else to choose a word for me, no?
I would love to have one of these with my kids names of them.
Well, this is completely random, but I came home from work today to an early birthday present of a beautiful new Le Creuset dutch oven! Such a happy day!
Ooooh!!!! How nice.
What color did you get?
My hubby is in Afghanistan till next January 2011. So winning anything right now would feel really good.
Congrats on all the readers. I love your blog.
Congrats on 1400 subscribers! And I am so ready too for Hollywood week to be done with and get it rolling on Idol.
Life is what you make of it, so live it well!
Hope you have a wonderful day tomorrow = )
I am always talking about positive affirmations to anyone who will listen. This type of jewelry lends itself perfectly to that very idea…. Dream or Inspire or Imagine…. all great words for positive energy!
SheilaC
I would love to have something with my kids’ names.
Years ago, I made a pact with some friends that we would all have kids together. This week is when we were supposed to start trying. None of us are in a place to have a baby now. All I’ve heard this week on TV is about babies.
1400 – congrats!!! And how sweet of you to share the love!
Enjoying my evening coffee tonight and watching the olympics
I love this jewelry – we gave my grandmother a necklace with all of her grandkids names on it at Christmas and she loved it – I’d like to have one with my little one’s names – they are so precious to me, I can’t imagine anything better than a bit of bling that honors them.
Your chicken enchiladas were a HUGE hit in our house last week!
Great for you… 1400 subscribers. I am sure you have more followers!
I don’t comment much, but I absolutely LOVE your blog. Anytime I see that you have a new post up I get all excited and can’t wait to see what it’s about. I love how many topics your blog covers and how much passion you share. Thank you!
PS I couldn’t agree more about 24; except I had that reaction last season!
I keep reading about all the snow you are getting and I’m jealous. We usually get quite a bit in RI but it keeps bypassing us. I’m a little disappointed.
Congrats on the subscribers! That is amazing.
The layered mother of pearl is calling my name. I think it’s fantastic that you are passing on the love, there are so many incredible choices!
Nothing like a giveaway to pull me out of the “silent stalker” category. I’ve been enjoying your blog for a few months now and appreciate all your recipes and wisdom.
Since I just walked in the door from a scripture/religion class, the necklace that you showed with “faith” on it caught my eye. With four kids, I think that “faith” is the summary of most of my days
Oh I love it when stalkers come out of hiding. As long as they aren’t scary stalkers. I’m glad you’re not a scary one.
What a lovely idea Jo-Lynne! I’ve been dying to get a hand stamped necklace to commemorate/celebrate Little Miss’ arrival – this would be perfect.
In other news I’m thinking about taking that ecourse on natural food…. just need to decide if I have the energy!
their stuff is beautiful! Wow, 1400! that’s awesome… it’s because you have great posts, so much fun to read, learn and try out (those brownies looked incredible!)
hmmm…something like this would certainly keep me from being dowdy
This would be a great little pick-me-up after my little one just cut his third and fourth teeth! I’d love to celebrate his upcoming FIRST birthday by buying me a sweet piece of art to make me feel better. Does it really go by this fast?
I’ll share with you somethings I have been pondering: As I was watching my 9 year old do some baking by herself, I couldn’t help but think about how she will slowly want to be more and more independent, and that it is a transition we are both going to go through. I thought about the similarities between letting go and baking. ONE was how even though they want to be independent, they will sometimes need your help…so be available and close by. SECOND, no matter how independent they want to be there will still be some things that are non-negotiable where safety is concerned. THIRD, nothing beats a child beaming with pride when they accomplish something by themselves. It is wonderful to see them fly!
It really is hard to let go, isn’t it? But I guess the rewards are worth it. Hmmm…
Really enjoy your food posts and everything else
Something special. Hmmm, well, I love my life and am so thankful for what I have, along with great family and friends. Life is good.
Once upon a time there was a woman —– actually a girl who had all the time in the world. Time to clean, although it wasn’t really necessary. Time to do laundry, although there wasn’t really much. Time to read, and watch movies, and pray, and chat with friends. Yes, she had friends! Time to have a conversation with her husband and eat a full meal without sharing unless she wanted to.
What happened to this wonderful life, you may ask. Well, now she has time for kisses from three little sets of lips. Time for bedtime stories and bathtime bubbles. Time for laughs and tears and pulling out her hair. Time for BIG hugs from little arms.
And they all lived happily ever after.
Sad or Happy story? Definitely the latter (with a bit of the former for good measure)
Help. I have fallen into a giant leftover birthday cake and fear that something pretty and shiny may be the only thing to get me out. That’s why I need to win.
Love the jewelry but will pass on the giveaway since I already have some. I’m going to bookmark the website for gift ideas though!
You are a daily part of my morning – I enjoy reading your blog!
When my 3 year old mixes the eggs for breakfast, he says “Mom, they are all yolked up.” Thought the food and mom side of you would get a kick out it!
At 35, I’ve recently discovered that I LOVE jewelry. I guess I just thought it was “fussy” and would get in my way. Now, I’m always looking for the next great piece for that one outfit!
I’ve entered like every Vintage Pearl giveaway and never won- does that count?
This would so brighten my day- 35 wks preggo with #3 and soooo ready for this to be over! Take care, and stay warm!
so lets see….i live in largo, florida (west coast) with my husband of 15 1/2 yrs and our 9 yo daughter & my husbands 86 yo father lives with us too
we sold our houses 2 years ago and moved into a bigger one so that we could take care of grandpa. its not always easy but it’s was the right thing to do.
have a fun day!
kimmie
I’d love some pretty jewelry! Need to walk on the treadmill, but reading blogs is more fun!
I don’t have any jewelry like this…. but i’m in need of a new bracelet. the boy and my daughter have stated that they would like me to change out my jewelry every once in awhile. I guess they are tired of seeing the same things every day….
thanks for your generosity… and 1400 subscribers? way to go!
My dad died after a heart attack 2 weeks ago, and the necklace with the heart and Faith on it really spoke to me. I may have to buy it if I don’t win it. (And my kids have been home for 9 snow days in a row!) This mom needs a pick me up!
I’m new here — came over from Such the Spot after the Blissposts (and yours is just the 5th blog I’ve bookmarked in years of surfing). Funnily enough, I was just musing this morning that I should have a necklace or pin or tattoo that says “promise” to remind me of the twin meanings of the word — that I must honour the commitments I’ve made to my little boy, no matter how tired or busy I get, and that every day holds the opportunity to do so. My life is full of promise.
That’s beautiful! I love it. Good luck!
Okay, here’s my “anything”… last night I heard someone say, “If you have to have something every day, you’re addicted.” I laughed because it was funny to me that the people who we were talking about (smokers) insisted they weren’t addicted. And then I gasped internally. I am always saying I’m not addicted to coffee. I don’t drink nearly as much as other real coffee addicts I know. But I have to have it. Every day. My wonderings is whether I’m physically addicted (will I have physical withdrawal symptoms if I stop?) or I am just emotionally (mentally?) addicted. Right now I feel like it’s more of the latter, but the latter won’t let me test the former!
I promise that if I win, I will not put “coffee” on it.
LOL, Julie. I’ve gotta say. I didn’t think I was addicted till I tried to give it up. It was HORRIBLE. Keep drinking that coffee!
I made the chicken enchiladas your posted about a while ago…easy and yummy and something my two-year-old could help me put together…a winner all the way around!
It all would have been absolutely perfect if only I’d have had a little hand-stamped jewelry gracing my snowbound, turtleneck- and fleece pants(ed)-body!
I would love something like this. How generous of you to offer to a reader. Thanks!
I am possibly expecting my second blessing (I hate home pregnancy tests). The thought excites and scares me because my husband and I agreed that if we had I second I would quit my job and stay home.
I’ve always wanted something with my boys’ names on it – I like these hand-stamped necklaces alot better than a mother’s ring!
Love finding new blogs to read, this is a great giveaway! I am in love with stamped jewerly and have not tried any pieces yet!
Thanks!
Maggie M.
Hi! I just started reading your blog a few days ago as I found it through another blog & I really enjoy it.
I am not the best cook in the world, but your recipes all sound so delicious and are really inspiring me to bake more. Especially those brownies you just posted — it’s only 10am and I am now craving them. Hee hee
Anyways, I originally was hoping that I’d be the random winner to win the GC as those pieces are so pretty and meaningful, but now I am really hoping your reader with the husband in Afghanistan will win. I mean, I know we’d all love to have new jewelery, but she really deserves a special present considering how much her hubby & herself & their family are sacrificing for our safety & freedom. I know it’s a random drawing, but I am hoping she does win! Or maybe if she doesn’t then whoever does win will give it to her!
Okay that’s enough of my babbling — thank you for an awesome blog!
I have a girlfriend who is going through a hard time right now, and the faith necklace is something she needs to help her realize that all will be ok, she just has to have faith.
Thank you for always making me laugh, think, or smile. I love coming to your blog.
You know what? I do to, and I was thinking the same thing. I may order it for her.
I know your friend would love it.
I was cracking up over my friends facebooks statuses this morning. I have a 7 year old daughter so I could completely relate to their girls saying things like “I’m not going to school! But you want to be an astronaught…not anymore, too many black holes!” and “I think when I am a teenager I am going to want to lay on the couch, chew gum and text my friends!” My status was lame compared to theirs…
I started following you back in September 2009. I caught your headline on someone’s post and clicked the link. I remember the day I got hooked was the day I read one of your “real” food posts and because it resonated within me because of my health issues, I set up my blog to become a “follower.” So…that’s how I came to be here.
We’ve exchanged a few emails back and forth and I still read you every day. I don’t want to win–there are other women here who need this much more than I do…The lady who’s husband is in Iraq. Or one of the new mommies. Or the lady who’s taking care of her family and her elderly relatives…
How about CONGRATS on 1400?! That’s great!!!
How very thoughtful and generous of you. I have no stamped jewelry and would love to have a little shopping spree to lift my winter blues!
We have NO snow.
Just thought I’d share.
So, I went to the website for The Vintage Pearl, designed a necklace with my children’s initials, went to order it and stopped before I entered my credit card info – because we are trying to be on a budget. It was a sad and proud moment at the same time! But I so want to have something to keep my little ones close to me while I go about my day – both away from them and with them!
Love, love, love this kind of jewelry. I don’t have a sob story today, or any legitimate reason beind my covetous behavior except that I never ever buy anything for myself! Hey, I wanted to share a site and give a shout out to my good friend Nancy, who has an awesome website for busy moms who want to improve their family’s diet without stressing themselves out!. She’s a vegan, but a very well-balanced one! Check it out at http://veg4health.com/.
You have made me much more aware of my food choices. Thanks for your real food posts! Lots more organic in my kitchen thanks to you!
you are inspiring me to eat better.
I would love to have one of these for our daughter who will be getting baptized this May. I would the faith one for her.
I started reading you a few months ago, but just subscribed today.
As I read what you post, especially about your family, I always smile. As a new mom, well, he is almost a year (March 12), I am so taken with my son, that I wish I could spend all day with him. As a working mom, I cannot. As a working mom, who is potentially losing my job in a few months, my son and husband are the bright spots in my days. Your family anecdotes also put a smile on my face!
Thank you
I found you through Bye Bye Pie and I love your insights. And I keep on almost screwing up my courage to roast a whole chicken. Almost.
This may not be important to others, but I’m sad today. Today my iPhone stopped turning on and now I’m trying everything I read online on how to fix it. I just got it in October so it shouldn’t have issues already.
On a happy note, I just ordered the new Distress-It-All from Zutter!
Have a good day!
I just want to say that while I’m not responding to all of these comments, I am reading every one, and y’all are brightening my day! Winter blahs, be gone!
And I just made myself do the Shred for good measure. WOOT!! Endorphins, go to work! LOL.
Funny? I was trying to think of a joke but my brain has gone blank. Here’s something that made me smile today though. My son went to school today wearing brown plaid pajama pants, mismatched socks, and two different pairs of shoes. Oh, and a black glittery hat. It’s “Wacky Wednesday” at school so all the kids are dressing weird. And after I dropped him off, I saw a little girl wearing a bee costume.
That Hope bracelet is stunning. I am off to check out their site.
ohh, I have wanted jewelry like this for a while. My birthday is today, so it would be so fun to win this. Plus my hubby is delpoyed so no gift for me, this would be perfect.(I could add more to my sob story if you want lol)
My husband leaves for Mexico tomorrow and I leave to follow him on Friday. We arent packed : ) Guess what I’ll be doing today?
Getting married next week, leave for Perú on Friday
My three year old may be smarter than me. Case in point we were peeling potatoes for dinner and she asked me what starch is (no idea where she even heard that!!) and before I could answer told me to go and look in the dictionary so I gave her the right answer and not just one that I made up……
Hubby and I are on a waiting list for a donor embryo. I’m 41, he’s 35. We’ve been married for 13 years and we cannot wait for a child. We are hoping this fertility option works for us as we were told this is our best option of getting pregnant (I would love to experience the joys of carrying and birthing a child).
I’m really thankful that we have a weather forecast of 74 degrees today – I love our AZ winters. With sunshine most of the time, it makes it hard to get those “winter blues”.
I’ve got the winter blues too. I’m getting sick of all the snow and I like snow. I feel like I’m stuck in a “Groundhog Day” kind of scenario except mine comes with piles of jobs with yesterday deadlines and a two-year old who still wants to nurse all night long.
I like participating in your What I learned this Week. It’s a chance to share something helpful, as well as participate in this weird, cool world of blogging. It makes me reflective, which is most times a VERY good thing!!!
I’m still pretty new at it and hope that in time I’ll be able to help other mommies just like me… just like you do!
I am a fellow “winter blah” person. It is about all I can do to get through February and we don’t even have all the snow that you have
I guess I’ve been reading your blog for about 2 1/2 years now! Crazy, huh? Of course, you are my blogging hero.
love ya – hang in there.
I have been wanting one of these necklaces for sooo long. Thanks for the opportunity!
CADBURY. MINI. EGGS.
That is all
AMEN.
Hi there,
Love the blog, this might be random, but just thought I’d let you know how I found your blog. I saw your link from Hillary at “The Other Mama’s” blog, anyhow, love the giveaways!!!!!!!!!!!11
Ashley
ashleyandcraig@msn.com
It is going to be 70 degrees here today! (Southern Nevada) So happy!
I was reading your blog everyday even before I knew that we graduated from the same college.
I think that I may have stumbled upon you via ohamanda… not really sure. Anyway, love your blog and I *heart* that jewelry!!!!
My seven month old has pottied on the potty prob 25 times in the last month. My confession? As proud as I am of him for his accomplishments, there are times he wants to go potty when I don’t feel like taking him…then I feel guilty when he whines about wetting his pants. He has hated being wet since day one.
I am so anxious for spring and warm weather! Unfortunately the economy is affecting our small business and I had to get another job so we could reduce our expenses. I don’t mind pulling the extra load, thankfully my kids are grown so I don’t have to worry about feeding them! I’m just telling you this cause you don’t really know me, and I don’t want to whine to my local friends and family! So thank you for listening!!! I enjoy your blog, but really love it when you talk of your day to day life. Thanks for listening! =)
I love the jewelry! Here’s something for you besides just “pick me!” I don’t have the winter blues because it’s 65 degrees in Sacramento this week! But I do feel for the rest of ya who do. In fact, I’m having a great week because it’s a 4-day work week – yay! If only we could have 3-day weekends every weekend, I truly think we’d all be more productive. Oh and I’ve eaten two bagels w/ cream cheese today and about to have b-day cake in the office. Bad Liz! Okay, that’s all!
My 4 month old daughter likes to snack all day on her bottles instead of eating full bottles- drives me nuts but i love her!!!!
my husband son and I are sooo sick with a stomach bug and i am 256 1/2 weeks pregnant.. this is the first time I have been out of bed today.. this would really cheer me up.. thank you for this chance.
whoops 26 1/2 weeks pregnant
I’ve been out of the loop for a couple of days, but am going to make your peanut butter brownies tomorrow:) We finally got 3 1/2 in of good powdery snow in SC on Friday night and it was gone by Saturday night:) Lasted long enough to play in and make snow cream to eat!
I had a herniated belly button when I was born. It was gross. In lighter news, my middle child is turning 3 on Monday and we’re starting mommy and me swim class! Have a fabulous day!
A friend of mine told me a story today. She has never desired to drink soda, and couldn’t figure out why because as far as she remembered, she had never even tried a soda. She mentioned it to her mother, and her mother said that she had in fact tried soda before. When she was around 2 or 3 years old, they were visiting her grandmother and while everyone was outside playing, the grandmother put a soda on the table for each of them for lunch. When grandmother left the room, my friend proceeded to drink all 7 sodas on the table. When they all came inside, they found her laying on the floor with a distended belly trying to choke down what was left of the 7th soda. She was so uncomfortable that to this day she associates soda with pain and won’t drink one.
What I took from this story: The answer to childhood obesity may not be limiting our toddlers, but letting them overindulge. (hehe)
Holy cow you have a lot of comments.
What a pretty necklace – so delicate – would love to have one and may even have to order as gifts this year for my sisters.
By the way – I won’t be getting the one that says “hope”. Snort!
I’ve got a case of the winter blues, too. I don’t have any hand-stamped jewelry yet, so winning that would be a huge pick-me-up, I’m guessing!
But on to telling you “anything”….how about that I haven’t gotten a full night of sleep in almost THREE years! Sorry, that’s just on my mind right now because both of my kids are refusing to go to sleep. *sigh*
I’m a first time mom and and would l.o.v.e. to have a special necklace stamped with her name! She is 7 months old today and just makes me so happy. She is our little motor boat these days, blowing bubbles and raspberries. Thanks for the giveaway!
Congrats on 1400! I am barely at half that!
I had to pull my son’s tooth the other day. He’s 8. That was not a fun experience!
Love that jewelry!
I’ve been looking for your Idol posts – are you watching it this year???? Enjoyed your posts last year.
Ooh! I saw this and thought it was gorgeous, but it’s also my daughter’s middle name! Hope. It’s a perfectly lovely word….. It’s something that Jesus said we need…. It doesn’t fail us. AND my daughter’s initials are NHL! P.S. We’re hockey fans, but that name selection was unintentional!!!!
it’s a SUPER windy day on Maui today…..you said to tell you anything, right?
We are in the process of adopting a baby girl from Ethiopia and are planning on naming her Hope. Of course the “Hope” necklace caught my eye right away!
I seriously just blogged about their jewelry the other day. So needless to say, I’m drooling over this giveaway. Is it okay to wish that no one else wins and I do?! They’ve got a couple pieces I’d love but the one I mentioned on my blog is probably what I’d go for.

My daughter (my only child) is coming home from college for a weekend visit today!
Just found your site via Big Mama’s Fashion Friday and I’m hooked, just subscribed to you feed (so there’s another one!). Now I need to stop wasting my precious child free time and get to work cleaning up! But thanks for a fun short diversion.
I am SO ready for spring!!!
You are absolutely fabulous. How’s that for a comment? And I’m not just sucking up. Well that is mostly true.
My laundry is caught up. I thought about calling CNN but thought I’d just let you know instead. I just want SOMEONE to know so they can celebrate with me. Now if I can just convince my family that the clothes they’re wearing won’t be dirty until some time next week…
So glad that I get to be a part of that 1400 subscribers! I just subscribed tonight and have loved reading your posts!
This would be a little pick-me up for the week, as I have a sick preschooler, a sick baby and a sick husband at home. Calgon take me away.
