American Idol Results Recap

It’s time for another American Idol results show, and I have to admit, I’m a bit nervous tonight.  This is the week Chris Daughtry was voted out back in season 5 wasn’t it?  I should have voted this week.

Fantasia launches the show, and as much as I loved her in season 3, I have to admit, she hasn’t done anything since that I’ve really cared for, and this number is no different.  She’s good, but I’m just not an R&B fan.  #thatisall

Say what?  Her daughter is NINE?  Oh. My Gosh.  I’ve been watching this show for over 7 years.  I am officially OLD.

And it’s another Ford video.  Yawwwwwwwwwn.

And now we get to chat with our top four: Mike, Casey, Lee, and Crystal.

After a brief recap of last night’s performances, Casey is announced as safe.  Mmmmmkay….  I’m still concerned for Crystal.

But first, we get treated to a performance by Daughtry, probably my favorite Idolist of all time.

Okay, I’m back.  That was fun.

So we get another recap of last night and then Lee is safe. WOOT!

But I still can’t relax till I hear that Crystal is in the final three.

But first.  Bon Jovi.

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

Love these guys — “Hard work, good luck” — that pretty much sums up success in this life.

And now it’s time to face the music — pun intended.

Crystal made it, and Mike is going home.

I like Mike, but I gotta say, I’m satisfied with this outcome.  My top three faves are in the top three, and I don’t remember the last time that happened, so YAY.

How about you?  Are you satisfied with tonight’s results?

Totally happy with this!! YES YES!!

    Very happy.

  3. Mmmm, sort of. I would have traded Casey for Mike, but that’s just me.

I was watching Bon Jovi with my 12 year old daughter who said to me, “Mom, he’s old! Do you think he does Botox?” I told her that, yes, he probably does, and regular facials too (did you see how pretty his skin is?) but he’s pretty cute anyway. She just kind of shuddered and said, “A mom should never tell her daughter that she thinks another man is cute. You’re only supposed to think Dad is cute.” :)

I do love me some Bon Jovi but Bruce is my man. He’s hot, and I don’t mind telling my daughter so. ;-) My husband knows it too; in fact, he’s the one who was the Bruce fan first. (Not that he thinks he’s hot or anything… *shudder*)

So funny!! I love your 12 year old!

I think Mike is a far more talented vocalist and performer than Casey so I was a bit bummed. That being said, I think Casey is majorly being helped by his looks ie. hair. As long as Lee and Crystal are the top 2 I will be happy.

I agree with your assessment, mostly. Chris Daughtry is my fave Idol contestant of all time as well! Plus. he totally rocks on Twitter.

I don’t really care for Casey. His facial expressions are kind of cheesy, and he doesn’t really have any creativity. Yeah, he can sing, but I don’t see him being earth-shattering on the music scene.

Crystal is my very favorite. I adore her. She should win. #thatisall

Yeah, I think the reason I like Casey is that I like his style of music more than Mike’s. But I found him underwhelming at the beginning of the season, and he had a few good weeks, but he hasn’t done much lately. I don’t think he will be in the top 2, though. It looks like the two who deserve it will actually get it this year. YAY.

:) I’m chuckling because, as usual, I’m right with you. Last night I was all bragging about how good I am at picking—these have been my top three since auditions. Reality – tv predictor. Wow, now that’s something to add to your resume. So what will really blow your mind is when your daughter starts agreeing with you on the cute guys—mine is 13 and although she’ll never understand my love/obsession for Keith Urban, she will say very casually, “So, do you think he’s hot?” That amuses me. I think JBJ has improved with age, but looking at him upclose you know he’s had work. His is just not as obvious as Richie Sambora’s. Now he creeps me out.

  7. Doing the happy dance. I think I cheered outloud when they announced Casey was in. Happy for the rest. Now, here is the REAL competition. I’m fine with whomever takes home the title. Just glad to see these guys in the Top 3.

  8. Teri says:

Yay! Happy! Happy!Happy! Lee needs a GOOD week next week!
