Because Two is Better Than One

Last year you may (or may not) remember that I participated in Hyatt’s The Big Welcome campaign and received a free night at the Hyatt. I also got to give away a free night at the Hyatt to five lucky readers.

Well, guess what?  I was recently asked if I would like to be a part of the new Hyatt Insider blogger program.

Huh.  Would I ever!

Guess what that means?  That means more opportunities for me, and for you, to stay at the Hyatt’s fabulous hotels and resorts throughout the year FOR FREE.  I don’t know about you, but I’m all about the free.  And I really love campaigns like this one that allow me to share my perks with my readers.

Since there’s no time like the present, I’ve already received 2 (that’s TWO) free Big Welcome Back award nights which we are planning to use next weekend at the Hyatt Regency Chesapeake Bay Golf Resort, Spa and Marina down on Maryland’s Eastern Shore.

hyatt

This will be an early 15-year anniversary trip.  FIFTEEN YEARS of marriage, y’all.  I guess I’m officially a grownup now.  (Our anniversary isn’t till August, but this month worked out best for our busy summer schedule.)

I spent a few days perusing the various Hyatt sites within driving distance of Philly, trying to decide where to go.  I really wanted to go somewhere that is a destination in and of itself, rather than a Hyatt in the middle of a city or a tourist destination.  We just want a place where we can relax and hang out and eat good food, so when I discovered this resort, I decided it was perfect.

I hope the weather’s nice enough to sit by the pool and sip a mojito, but if not, it looks like there are plenty of lovely places to sit indoors.  Like, here perhaps.  I have a stack of books to bring that I’ve been trying to read, and I may even pick up a new knitting project before we go.  I’m looking forward to just relaxing.  We MIGHT even try out the spa while we’re there, since this IS our 15th anniversary trip, after all.

We still have to decide where we’re going to eat.  I was told to make reservations in advance, and we’re leaving in 10 days, so I need to be figuring that out.  Suggestions?  Has anyone been there?

Of course, an anniversary trip to a beach resort calls for some new duds, wouldn’t you agree?  And it just so happens that last weekend I attended a CAbi party.  I totally splurged on a colorful silk tank top that should be perfect for an evening out at the beach.  I wonder if I can find it online.  Oh here, you go. (Click on Bright On, and it’s the Cosmo Tunic.)

I know. It pretty much broke the bank, but isn’t there a rule that states that you can’t go to one of these home parties and not buy something?  (That’s what I told my husband, anyway.)  Really, hon, I was just being polite.

And of course, one of Murphy’s Laws clearly states that when you go to one of said parties, you will fall in love with the most expensive item there.  What, that doesn’t happen to you? I suppose it’s one of my many talents.

Anyway, I fell in love with that top the second I saw it, and even though I tried on probably half the tops she had in stock, I knew the Cosmo Tunic was “the one.”  Just picture it — a romantic dinner by the ocean, sipping a crisp Chardonnay, feasting on fresh seafood, no little ones interrupting our conversation…  I can’t wait.

I’ll be sure to take more than my fair share of photographs while we’re there so I can fill you in when we get back.  It will be the next best thing to being there.  Of course, that would be weird.  If you were there, I mean.  Pictures are better.

Any-WHO.  In addition to my own 2 free Big Welcome Back award nights, I get to give away 2 sets of 2 free Big Welcome Back award nights that can be used at any Hyatt in the world. They will expire on August 30, 2011 so you’ll want to be able to use them soon.

To enter, just tell me which Hyatt you’d like to stay at (don’t worry; you don’t have to commit.  You can change your mind if you win.)  I will randomly select 2 winners on Friday, May 14. If you win, you will need to register for a Hyatt Gold Passport account, and the two free nights will be awarded to your account.  This contest is open to anyone anywhere in the world.

Disclosure: As a member of the Hyatt Insider blogger program, I was provided with a points upgrade to elite Platinum Gold Passport status and 2 free Big Welcome Back award nights to use at my leisure, plus 2 sets of 2 free Big Welcome Back award nights for my readers.

Congrats on 15 years! What did you get married when you were 10? ;)

  16. Rachel says:

In a perfect world, I would choose the Hyatt in Milan, Italy (but we’d probably have to stick around closer to where we live… :) My husband and I just celebrated our 4th anniversary but were unable to do anything or go anywhere because we just had our second baby boy, so this would the perfect belated anniversary celebration :)

  17. Stacey V says:

Hyatt Regency Chesapeake Bay Golf Resort, Spa and Marina or one of the Hyatt’s in Washington DC since I have never been there. We’d probably have to take our two kids, but it would still be fun since they have never stayed in a Hotel.

Happy Anniversary. Our 11th is this Satruday.

  18. alyssa says:

My anniversary is May 10th (9 years) and it always gets the short end of the deal because of Mother’s Day. I would love to stay right at the Chesapeake Bay in Maryland also. I love the Chesapeake it is so beautiful. I hope you have a great time!

  19. Oh my. Please hold while I go see if there’s one at Disneyland, because we are trying to swing a trip to LA this summer but it’s looking painfully pricey. Yep, Hyatt Regency in Orange County…

  20. first of all, I LOVE your blog. I really enjoy your insight!

what an awesome giveaway (that I will never win)!!!!!!! If I did win, I would totally choose Savannah or San Diego. both places I want to go. It would be the perfect pregnancy trip – due with #2 in a few months. :)

LOVE the tank…I’d wear mine at one of the Hyatt’s in Atlanta…maybe…or Chicago.

  22. Bay says:

I love Hyatts…I’ve stayed at a bunch and they’re always nice. For my wedding I stayed at the one on Penn’s Landing and they were great. I don’t know which one I’d pick…maybe the one on the Riverwalk in San Antonio, it looks right over the Alamo.
    Thanks for the chance!
    -Bay

  23. Michelle says:

OOh – the Hyatt Regency Lost Pines in Austin. Perfect weekend getaway for us.

  24. Cherylp says:

What a wonderful giveaway! If I won, I would choose the Hyatt Regency Chesapeake Bay Golf Resort, Spa and Marina as well because it is close to home, yet far enough away to feel like a small vacation. During the first week of July, my husband and I will celebrate our 8th wedding anniversary and our little boy will turn 5, so a family getaway would be a wonderful way to celebrate and enjoy each other!

  25. Lauren says:

I would stay in the Hyatt in NYC… it is beautiful and in such a lovely spot!
The Hyatt on the Chesapeake is lovely and very close to my grandparents home, which we love!

  26. Sandi says:

I would choose the Park Hyatt Washington.

  27. Dana says:

I would love to spend a summer weekend in the Colorado Mountains with my husband- I’d choose the Park Hyatt Beaver Creek Resort and Spa. Maybe once we go I can convience him to take me back in the winter for skiing!

  29. Kelly says:

The one in Maryland looks pretty fantastic – can’t wait to hear how you like it! On a beach and with a spa – sounds like the perfect destination for my 3 year wedding anniversary and hopefully our last vacation before kiddos! :)

  30. Heidi says:

The Andaz in San Diego, Ca.

My mom will be ending her last day of chemo soon. I would love for her to relax after this corageos battle.

  31. Karen says:

Maybe the one in Cambridge, MD. Or the one in Norfolk, VA. Or maybe Baltimore. . . boy, it’s hard to decide!

  32. Kellie says:

I’d stay at the Hyatt Regency in New Orleans – we’d use it when we go to the Alabama/LSU game this fall!!!!

  33. Devon says:

We are going on a big roadtrip this fall- from PA to TX and back. This would be great to use along the way- I know we’re going to pass a SLEW of Hyatts!

    Thanks!

  34. Domestic Me says:

OMW! Loved the one you stayed at in Maryland; but I would also love to stay at Highlands Inn in Carmel, CA. It looks so relaxing.

Congrats on your upcoming 15th anniversary. Hubby and I just celebrated our 13th in March.

  35. stephanie says:

Our 5th anniv is this fall, and with two kids under two, getting away seems tough to do! We would stay local, so prob phila @ penns landing would work! great dining and yet close to the babysitters aka grandpop and nanny, if need be! Excellent giveaway!

  36. Andrea says:

I would take the Chesapeake Bay – maybe we’ll see you there! Please let me win! I really need this – we’re celebrating 7 years this year – and have never had a vacation for just the 2 of us since our honeymoon! (vacations with my parents and/or the in-laws are fun – but they just don’t count!)

  37. Leah F says:

I would choose the Hyatt Regency Hill Country Resort and Spa in San Antonio. My husband and I have been talking about taking a trip and leaving the kids with MiMi and PawPaw. This would be the perfect opportunity!

  38. DeAnn says:

Wow…dreaming, I would love to stay at the Hyatt in Milan, Italy also. Otherwise Huntington Beach, CA would be lovely…really that’s dreaming too, but since I’m choosing a Hyatt instead of doing laundry right now, I’m going to at least make it count!

My friend used to have CAbi parties all of the time. I wasn’t crazy about everything but I always managed to find a couple of wonderful pieces. You can justify the price with the quality. :) Everything I’ve purchased from that company has held up very well. May is a great time for the Eastern Shore…warm enough to enjoy outside but not unbearably humid (it would be that way in Aug.) Have a great trip!

  39. julie says:

I have been promising Big a night in NYC since middle and little got to go this winter so i’d be all over a hyatt in NYC. we’re celebrating our 10 year at a bread & breakfast in Maine in July. Any suggestions?

  40. Cecily says:

I NEVER enter giveaways, but DUDE. This looks great!

My 14 year anniversary is this year, and I really want to do NYC with the hubby… :D

    http://newyork.5thavenue.andaz.hyatt.com/hyatt/hotels/index.jsp

    Works for me!

  42. Michelle@Life with Three says:

I’d love to take a weekend trip to Charleston with my husband. We’re relatively close, but I’ve never been there. Thanks for the chance to win!

  43. Christa says:

What fun! Normally I would have for sure said NYC but when you said you could pick anywhere I would have to choose the Hyatt Regency Thessaloniki. I’ve always wanted to go to Greece and it just looks beautiful.

  44. Amy says:

I would have to pick one of the NYC locations, I just can’t decide which one for sure though! They all look amazing!

  45. O Mom says:

What an amazing giveaway! I would stay at the downtown Seattle Hyatt when we go home to visit family, it would be such a treat to stay there instead of the usual cramming on the couch!
Have a great trip with your hubby!

  46. Annette says:

Of course I’d pick any Hyatt anywhere in Hawaii for my first choice, but realistically, I know I’ll have my two young ‘uns in tow and a FULL schedule to work around, so I’ll go with the Hyatt in Baltimore or DC or NYC…fun and do-able spots without having to shell out airfare!

  47. O.K., there is just so much I love about this post. Hyatt? Love it! Drinks by the pool? Love it! And CaBI??? LOVE IT!!!

I cannot tell you how much I hope I win this.

  48. Rachel says:

well, if I could pick ANYwhere, I’d pick Grand Hyatt Bali. haha.
Chesapeake would be more realistic, though.
    thanks for the giveaway!

  49. Rachel says:

I just need a relaxing weekend away, anywhere with good weather and pretty! I live in Boston and there is a Hyatt nearby – and even that would be perfect, just enough to get out of the house and relax for a weekend.

  50. Katie says:

I would love to stay at the Hyatt in Hawaii, but w/ a toddler that plane ride would be a little too long and I def couldn’t leave her at home for that long. I think I would choose the Hyatt in Newport, RI as we could (maybe) do a weekend getaway there w/o my little one since it’s a close drive for us or we could bring her (most likely) and still do things we’d all enjoy together.

Thank you for this contest opportunity! Hope you and your hubby have a very special anniversary! :)

  51. Tina says:

Congrats on your upcoming anniversary !!I hope you have a wonderful time on your trip. My husband and I will be celebrating 25 years in July !! I would choose The Grand Hyatt in New York City. In college, we took a trip to New York with two of our instructors and class members. It would be great to go back there and celebrate our 25 years of marriage !!! :-)

  52. Jeni says:

I would pick St. Louis. It’s within reasonable driving distance, and we’ve been wanting to go back there for a while.

  53. Emily E says:

Well, we were supposed to go to the Opryland Hotel for our anniversary, since that’s where we went for our honeymoon. But that’s not going to happen anytime soon. :( So, if I won, we’d probably go to the Hyatt Place Nashville/Franklin/Cool Springs instead.

  54. Jennifer says:

I would choose the Hyatt Summerfield Suites Mt. Laurel !

  55. Heidi Reitz says:

I would choose the Hyatt Regency in Maui

  56. Danielle says:

Totally the Coconut Plantation In FL…. love a weekend getaway and feeling like a princess!

  57. Tammy says:

Its our 15th as well and my husband is laid off – so alas, we can’t go anywhere. I would love love to win this and take him downtown Chicago to the Hyatt Regency right in the heart of the city.

  58. Tanya says:

Hyatt Hill Country Resort in San Antonio, Texas! The Military is moving us out of San Antonio (my home!) this summer and I would LOVE to spend one of our last weekends here in style! Thanks for the chance!

  59. So…. you’re giving this away on the 14th and I just happened to be getting married on the 16th…. and well, right now? we’re spending the night in the new house… just the two of us… but a room at the hyatt in Roanoke? That would be fantastic…

OR…. how about the one in Fairfax in July when we go up to DC with a bloggy friend who’s flying in from CAlifornia so that we can meet!

    Thanks for the opportunity!

  60. Dee says:

Okay, first of all, that tunic is beautiful – definitely a good choice! I would pick the Hyatt Regency St. Louis simply because it is within driving distance for me. I would love to go to the one you’re staying at (it sounds wonderful) but I don’t think my husband would agree that paying for airfare in order to receive 2 free hotel nights is a good idea! :)

  61. Lauren says:

I’d choose the Hyatt Key West–would love to check it out with my husband!

  62. Emily Kay says:

Since we’re already splurging (a lot) and celebrating a babymoon/anniversary in Austin this coming weekend, I’d have to say we’d probably choose the Hyatt Hill Country resort here in San Antonio so there wouldn’t be many added expenses. Great giveaway!!

  63. Stephanie says:

I would pick the one at St. Michaels for the same reasons you did and go with my husband. Or, the one in Coral Gables, FL to go with my best girlfriends next year for our 40th birthdays!

  64. nicole says:

    Gorgeous top!

No time to participate in the giveaway this time, but I’ll be sure to enter future ones. ;)

  65. tracy says:

Wow! You lucky girl! Have fun!
I have NO idea which Hyatt I would choose. We NEVER go away for the weekend. I wouldn’t know where to start! :)

  66. Mindy says:

Lovely tank! Oh I’d LOVE to stay at the Highlands Inn, A Hyatt Hotel & Vacation Club Resort in Carmel, CA for my husband and I’s 10 year anniversary this July! We love the Monterey/Carmel area and it holds a special feeling for us since we honeymooned in near Monterey. I’d really love to stay anywhere with a beach to celebrate and sadly we probably won’t be able to go anywhere since my husband just lost his job, but thank you so much for giving me the opportunity to dream this morning! Have a blessed day and enjoy your amazing trip and anniversary!

  67. Denise says:

Just dreaming, but I would visit the Hyatt Regency Sanctuary Cove in Queensland Australia. It is located on the worlds best beaches!

  68. Erin says:

I’d go with the one in Maryland you’re visiting, driveable and looks really nice! Or The Grand Hyatt New York, because we’ve been wanting to go New York for a weekend sometime, never been!

  69. Emily says:

Ummmmm! How amazing??? I would love to use it to stay at the Hyatt Churchill in London – totally central and I could walk to all my old haunts. We’re going to see family in the UK in July and I would love, love, love a chance to escape with Husbando for a couple of days.

  70. Andrea says:

Okay…because I can’t resist…the Hyatt in Aruba! Who wouldn’t want to go there?

  71. Carrie says:

Looking at all the locations makes me want to quit work and tour the world via Hyatt Resorts! : ) But, I would choose the Orlando location so we can take the kids to Disney World – they’ve been begging!!

  72. lisa says:

I would stay at either the Huntington Beach or the Chesapeake- since I can fly using miles in the US- that & needing a beach narrowed it down quite a bit!

  73. Kristel says:

I would love to stay at the Hyatt in Seattle (if there is one in Seattle!) We had a baby girl 3 weeks ago and I am already looking forward to a little weekend getaway sometime this summer!!

  74. jamieS says:

I would stay at the hyatt cancun!

  75. Becky says:

Since I don’t have to commit and all……How about the Hyatt Regency Sanctuary Cove in Australia. Probably wouldn’t be able to swing the airfare though!

  76. Tiffany says:

I went on their website and tried searching around and you know what – I did not love their website. It would be nice to have a map of the US pop up, then you can click on the state, and then the city or area to see what Hyatt properties there are. If there is not a Hyatt in that area or city or state you can see how close the nearest hyatt is with this map.

That being said we are traveling to Cape Cod this summer and would like to visit Boston and then Vermont. I saw some Hyatt’s in Boston but could not find any in Vermont or New Hampshire.

  77. Lisa says:

Hyatt at Universal in Florida. It looks very nice!

  78. Amy says:

My sister is thinking about having her 30th birthday in Vegas in August so that would be perfect!

  79. Stacy says:

I would want to take my hubby to the Hyatt in New Orleans. My hubby has been working 2 jobs while finishing his masters in public history. All of his grad work has been centered on WWII history and I’d love be able to take him to NO now that he’s finally finishing and see the WWII museum as a thank you for how hard he’s worked for all of us. It would be such fun to watch him comb the museum and artifacts!

  80. Bethany Peterson says:

I WISH there was a resort within driving distance, but there’s not! I would go to Kansas City, where we have lots of friends and family. Stay in a nice Hyatt room, visit lots of people and have a mini-vacay!

  81. Anna says:

What a generous giveaway! I’d pick Mission Bay in San Diego. Because Oregon is COLD and it’s killing us! :)

  82. Becky says:

I won one of the nights last year and would love to win again this year :) My favorite Hyatt that I have been to is in Lexington adjacent to the Arena. We took my 7 year old to see the Jo Bros last year for her birthday and it was nice to be able to go to our hotel without even walking outside. If I win this year, I would probably go somewhere resorty with my husband. I’m kinda digging that Eastern Shore thing. It is close enough that we could make it a weekend trip.

  83. Since we’d have to stay close by (…dang it…) I’d chose the Hyatt Regency St. Louis at The Arch. Looks gorgeous and we wouldn’t be that far away.

  84. Elaine says:

Hyatt of the Lost Pines outside of Austin, TX. My past favorite for our entire family was the Hyatt in the Hill Countty, but the Lost Pines is now closer!

    Thanks,
    Elaine

  85. I would choose the Hyatt Regency in London, or one of the Hyatts in Boston as we will be there this summer :)

We are nearly 18 years married, and have just been away (without the kids) for a night to celebrate the wedding anniversary and my husband’s birthday.

We chose the hotel we had our wedding reception at, and were upgraded to a suite – lovely! Pics on blog.

  86. Any Hyatt in the Caribbean – our yearly weekend away is July 25, so this’d be perfect!!!

  87. SAM says:

I would choose the Park Hyatt Washington in D.C!

  88. I am a new follower to your blog, but love it! Fun and personal. Great give-away! My husband and I are missionaries in South Africa (but from Raleigh, North Carolina). This summer we will be back in the States and traveling to meet up with people, and I hope to stop in NYC to see new babies, friends, and enjoy my fav city in the US! I would DEFINITELY stay at the Andaz 5th Avenue in NYC. What a fun dream :) Enjoy your time away – yeah vacations and celebrating marriage!

  89. Charlene says:

The Park Hyatt Chicago and the Park Hyatt Washington. How fun to think about winning something like this.

  90. Patrice says:

I’d probably choose the Hyatt Chesapeake because I know the area. Have fun!

  91. I’d choose the Hyatt Key West Resort and Spa…the photos are GEORGEOUS!

  92. Candace says:

I would go to the one in Addison, Texas for a little get away with my husband. I LOVE Hyatt- sooooo nice. Have fun on your trip :) .

  93. Karina says:

we would probably stay at the hyatt in indianapolis in downtown indy. Its right in the heart of the city.

  94. I’d love to spend the night in a Hyatt! We love Boston, and it’s a quick getaway, so maybe the Hyatt Regency Boston in downtown.

  95. Alexia says:

Hmmm I think I’d choose one of the Hyatt’s that is in Chicago, IL. My Mom loves Chicago and I’ve never been so it would be a good getaway for the both of us! (The Hyatt Regency McCormick Place looks like it has a great view!)

  96. AnnaK says:

Seriously? I think the Hyatt in Chesapeake is THE PLACE I’d go, and second would be a Hyatt in any of the Hawaiian Islands. Have a good time!

  97. Becky says:

Awesome. I’d either choose Chicago, Seattle, or San Diego. Don’t know how I’d decide!!!

  98. Lissa Fairfield says:

I would love to say some far away place but I know I would need to be within driving distance so I must say Chicago, which is a fun place…

  99. Dawn says:

I’d pick the Grand Hyatt Kauai Resort and Spa – we’d love to stay there on our way to visit family back home.

  100. Kim says:

The Hyatt you are staying at looks great – I could do that one too! Enjoy your Anniversary Weekend AWAY!!!

I always wanted to visit Savannah, GA – and this would be a most excellent way to get there!

  101. Julie says:

Daydreaming of a getaway is always fun. I would love to go to Savannah. Honestly anywhere would be a treat.

  102. wow what an amazing opportunity! You are one lucky lady!!! At first glance I would say I’d like to stay at a Hyatt in Manhattan. Our summer is pretty booked up so time time away at a driveable distance might be just what me and my hubby need!

  103. Lori says:

I’d want to stay at the Hyatt Place in Ft. Worth (Hurst)Man that would be nice!

  104. robinelton says:

I’d stay at the Hyatt Washington in DC so I could visit my best friend and her new baby!

  105. Christina says:

I would pick the Hyatt on Waikiki beach if I could. Probably would actually pick the Chesapeake Beach one for real. It looks quite nice and is not too far to drive.

  106. Omgoodness! What an awesome prize! I would stay close-ish to home but at Hyatt Regency Monterey Hotel & Spa on Del Monte Golf Course because I’ve been there for a wedding and it’s fabulous and would love to stay there! Thanks so much!

  107. QuatroMama says:

You know this quad mama would stay at any Hyatt on the planet if it’s FREE! Good going, Jo Lynne!

  108. Sara says:

I could pick about 20 I would like to be at right now! I am feeling tropical so today’s choice would be the Hyatt Regency Waikiki Beach Resort and Spa. Thanks for the chance to dream about it even if I don’t win!

  109. Gina says:

I would love to stay at the Grand Hyatt in Atlanta for my wedding anniversary in July!

  110. Ms. M says:

    Hey Jo-Lynne,

I would either choose to do a stay-cation here in NYC or tack on a day to a seminar I’m attending in DC!

That’d be so cool : ) Thanks for hosting such an awesome giveaway!

    xo, M.

  111. Jennifer says:

Wow 111 comments. This is a really cool giveaway. Count me in.

  112. Ashley says:

We’re celebrating our FIFTH anniversary this month… the Hyatt Place Grand Rapids-South (MI) would make for a GREAT anniversary trip! :)

  113. Devin says:

Happy Anniversary–early! We stayed at the Hyatt downtown (off Michigan Ave.) for our anniversary trip two years ago, and though I loved it–I would love to celebrate our 10 years coming up at the one YOU mentioned! How beautiful….

    Thanks for the giveaway!

  114. Nikki says:

I would TOTALLY pick the Hill Country Hyatt in central TX. We moved from Houston to SC last summer and haven’t seen our friends from there since. We would give them our free nights and buy two nights of our own so we could meet them at the Hyatt for a weekend of R&R and think lovingly of you the entire time!! (She’s also a fan of Musings!)

    Happy early anniversary!

  115. I hope you both have a lovely anniversary trip! Sounds delicious :) We were hoping to do a 20th anniversary trip last summer, but the economy (both public and private!) did not cooperate.
Anywho, I would love to visit a Hyatt. I’d pick the Charlotte/City Park location, I think. A stay with the hubby, an evening stroll in the park. Sounds so nice!

  116. Mama Bub says:

I would choose the Huntington Beach Hyatt. Close to home, but without the laundry and dishes calling my name.

  117. Mujercita says:

I’d probably choose the Grand Hyatt New York- the boyfriend and I have been wanting to explore the city!

  118. Emily says:

Wow, now that would be a fun decision to have to make… I can’t do it too quickly! Somewhere out of town, but with cheap airfare to and from… I can’t start dreaming yet, though :) Thanks for the opportunity to win!

  119. Jennifer says:

I love entering giveways, though I have yet to win one. Maybe this will be the one. I would stay at the Hyatt Place in Las Vegas. If you’re going to get away, might as well get all the way away. ;-)

  120. I would choose Hyatt Place Chesapeake in Virginia Beach. I’m trying to plan a girls weekend for my old college roommates so this would be perfect!! Thanks!

  121. Pamela C> says:

I would choose either Cleveland, Ohio because my son has to go to The Cleveland Clinic for stays every now and then and that sure would help with the expense of the trips. If we got to use it for a vacation, we would probably go to the Tampa/Oralando area.

  122. ChristineK says:

Oh man, we will be celebrating our 18th Anniversary in August! I guess that makes me really old and definitely an adult ;-) Hawaii would be awesome since we spent our honeymoon there, but it’s not in the budget. We’ve had our eye on the Hyatt Regency Chesapeake Bay Golf Resort, Spa and Marina. We have heard great things about it from friends and neighbors! That’s where we would choose since it is driving distance for us.

  123. melissa says:

We stayed at the Manchester Grand Hyatt in San Diego and it was AMAZING! Seriously, breathtaking!! We had such a blast and would love to go back.

  124. Nick says:

My cousin had her wedding reception at the Hyatt in Cambridge, MA, overlooking Boston. It was one of the most amazing hotels I’ve ever been to!

  125. I’d like to stay at the Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress in Orlando Fl

  126. mzzterry says:

i would choose the hyatt in santa rosa california, close to my daughter but still grand luxury! thanks for the opportunity jo lynne!

  127. courtney says:

To be realistic, I would choose the Hyatt in Newport, RI due to driving distance… but if I wanted to splurge, I would love to go to one of the resorts in FL! Maybe the Hyatt Key West Resort and Spa…

  128. tchrtiff says:

I’d love to stay at any Hyatt! My hubby and I are in desperate need of a weekend away. If we can swing it I’d like to stay at the Hyatt in Kauai but most likely it will be a Hyatt a little closer to home (California).

  129. Shawna Suckow says:

My best friend since college days (could it really be 20 years ago?!) and I would have a much-needed girls’ weekend at the Grand Hyatt Atlanta. We’re separated by 1,000 miles and don’t see each other as much as we need to for girl chat, chocolate and lazing around with no hubbies or kids to need us!

  130. Abby H says:

I would love to say the Hyatt Milan, but realistically hyat at olive 8 or whatever it was called lol. This would be perfect for when my hubby comes home for R&R from Iraq!

  131. Jaime says:

probably Orlando, since it’s the closest!

  132. Jeanette says:

We have been talking about taking the kids on a surprise vacation over Thanksgiving. So I’m thinking Maui. They have one there right?!

  133. Amy V. says:

Although I would love to pick a location such as Cancun, I am going to be realistic and make the most of 2 nights. I live in Southeastern PA, so I would love to spend 2 nights at the Hyatt in Maryland. I work and am the mother of 2 girls so any kind of vacation is much needed and much appreciated!! Thank you.

  134. Tracy says:

I would choose the Beaver Creek, Colorado resort. We spent our honeymoon in that beautiful city! Our anniversary is August 1st….18 years this year!!

  135. Kristine says:

Well first, Happy Anniversary! 15 years! Wow!

It’s our 10th Sept 2. And yes, I completely understand that bit about being an adult.

I can’t even tell you how much my husband and I could use a night or two away! I have no idea who would we find to baby sit, but I’m willing to chance it. Just going to the website and dreaming about the possibilities was fun!

So if I have to pick 1 destination right now, I’m drawn to the Hyatt Regency Newport, i we stay somewhat close to home anyway.

    Thanks for the chance!

  136. Beth says:

I like the one you picked! I’m also a fan of not having to leave the hotel to have a good time. Being close enough to drive makes it a whole lot more affordable too.

  137. Megan says:

I would head to the Eastern Shore too! It’s not far down the road…a perfect way to spend a weekend…no airline delays needed!

  143. Megan says:

I would love to go to the Park Hyatt Paris – Vendome. Will I actually get there? Probably not, but a girl can dream!

  144. Colleen says:

I dream of going back to Aruba, so I would try to get to the Hyatt there.

  145. Cali says:

What a great giveaway! I hope I win!!!! I’m choosing that Hyatt in the pic at the top of your post. I haven’t seen anything that beautiful in a long time! ooooh ooooh pick me, pick me! =)

  150. Kay says:

Somewhere (anywhere) in the mountains. We love the mountains.

  151. Jenn says:

The Hyatt you’re going to looks fabulous so I would choose that one or perhaps the Grand Hyatt in NYC since that is closer to home and we love the city.

Fabulous tank, btw. I know exactly what you mean about how it’s impossible not to spend a fortune at home parties! In the past few months, I spent $150 at a B’s Purse Party and almost as much at a Mary Kay Party. My husband just rolls his eyes.

  152. Melissa says:

I’ve been wanting to take my husband to Santa Barbara. So I’d choose Hotel Mar Monte.

  153. Christine says:

Oh my word, my husband and I could use a little mini vacation more than words can express! I would LOVE to stay at their hotel in either Carmel or Monterey (here in California). I mean the resorts look AMAZING but you can’t beat the scenery! Thank you (and Hyatt!) for this giveaway!

  160. Lori says:

I would stay in the Hyatt in Savannah!

  161. Jessica says:

I would pick the Orlando, Florida Hotel. I live about 30 minutes from there and I’m getting married on July,7th after 10 years! We’ve never had the money for a wedding, so we are just going to have something small. We have a baby, so a honeymoon is out of question! So staying in a hotel 30 minutes away with my( “finally”) husband, would be heaven for me:)

  180. Kristen says:

Park Hyatt Washington… Near us, but far enough that we would be “getting away”

  181. so…..3 years ago this month we stayed at the hyatt regency boston to celebrate our 5th wedding anniversary. our 8th anniversary is coming up in 19 days, and gosh, another mini getaway to boston would be such a welcome treat. so, boston, it is….fingers crossed, and all that jazz ;)

  182. Stephanie says:

I’m going to say “Hyatt Place Portland Airport/Cascade Station.” We don’t live in Portland, but my brother/SIL do and we’ve been meaning to get up there and visit them. I’ve heard that it’s an innovative city (and that particular Hyatt appears to be perfectly positioned for tourists wanting to explore the city). :)

  183. Kris says:

  188. Jenny N. says:

I’m thinking hubby and I would go to Chicago. We live in Mpls but it just wouldn’t feel like a vacay to stay in town. Chicago’s not too far away. Maybe we could take in a Cubs game. See a show. Walk by the lake. Magnificent Mile! Ahh…I’m dreaming now.

Thanks for the chance to win!

  189. San Diego. Because the beach has been calling my name…
