Last week I shared my Five Favorite Fall Dinners, so this week I thought I’d share my five favorite fall desserts. Your thighs can thank me later.
Five Favorite Fall Desserts
1. Pumpkin Cheesecake Bars. I found this recipe on AllRecipes.com a few years ago when I was hosting a fall event, and they were a huge hit. I’ve made them several times since.
2. Pecan Squares. This is one of Ina’s recipes. I like to reduce the amount of lemon and orange zest by about half. You can also halve the recipe and make them in a 13×9 pan, if you don’t want pecan squares coming out your ears.

3. Ginger Cookies. You know the story of the ginger cookie. These are still a favorite at our house.

4. Apple Cake. This is my aunt’s recipe, and it’s always a hit.
5. Old Fashioned Soft Pumpkin Cookies. These are unusual and delicious. I dare you to eat just one.

Do you have a favorite fall dessert? I’m always looking for new recipes!

Well, it’s not really a dessert, but I make pumpkin chocolate chip muffins. They’re a great addition to breakfast and a tasty after chool snack…YUMMY!
Oh now THAT sounds GOOD.
Here’s one of our favorities: Butterscotch Apple Crisp! http://www.noordinarymomentsblog.com/2008/11/sweet-treat-for-cold-night.html
Oh – those pecan squares sound really wonderful! You have quite a list here! I think I’ve added several pounds just looking!

Oh my, these all look delicious! I am definitely making those pumpkin cheesecake bars soon! My very favorite fall dessert is pumpkin pie. Just the recipe on the Libby’s can. I could eat it all the live long day. Sometimes I like it a little “spicier”, so I add more cloves or something like that.
We also love these molassas cookies: http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Molasses-Cookies/Detail.aspx. My husband goes crazy for them.
Not that this is really fall, but I have a favorite new muffin recipe, Banana Chocolate Chip muffins. I’ve been making them all the time! I halve the recipe and make minis. It’s really the best I’ve ever made: http://www.kingarthurflour.com/recipes/whole-wheat-banana-chocolate-chip-muffins-recipe.
Thanks for the recipes!
We just went to the pumpkin patch a couple days ago and I was planning to make pumpkin cookies for the boys – thanks for giving me a recipe! LOL
I just made a pumpkin spice cake last night with cream cheese frosting. I think it may be our new family favorite.
Wow, could you share the recipe? That sounds delicious!
I’m a huge baking fan. Can’t wait to try the pumpkin cheesecake bars especially!
Yes, fall treats are so wonderful to look forward to!! My kids and I enjoy making Pumpkin Smoothies while our weather is still a bit warm.
My favorite fall desserts? Hmmm. I would say Apple Crisp and Pumpkin Pie. Also, I love baked sweet potatoes, sprinkled with brown sugar.
Oh, you’re EVIL! lol (But I love it!) Thank you!!
I made the pumpkin cheesecake bars–YUMMY!! I loved the idea of serving decadent cheesecake in smaller portions. Everyone thought the pumpkin candy garnish was so clever. Thanks for sharing this recipe!
