I will never forget that Christmas Eve that now seems so long ago when you made your surprise appearance, a full four weeks before your due date. To this day you still like to do things your way. You were so small and so perfect and those first few days when you were in the NICU were the hardest in my life, but once we brought you home I could hold you all I wanted, and that’s exactly what I did. You loved to be held, but you preferred that I stand. And bounce. I was in great shape after having you!
I am so proud of the smart, determined, creative, sensitive little girl you have grown into. This year you have learned to read, rollerblade, knit and sew. You can do anything you set your mind to, and don’t ever let anyone tell you differently.
