For a girl who spends most of her life in sweatpants and a hoodie and greets Mr. Sandman by 10pm at the latest, it’s been fun getting glammed up for the nightlife at Blissdom.
I have two CAbi tops that I purchased at a CAbi event last fall, and I wore both this week. Tonight I wore this sparkly top with the dolman sleeves and black corduroy skinny jeans and black suede pumps.
And last night I wore this sleeveless embellished top and dark wash straight leg jeans and my sparkly red patent leather pumps.
I know, I’m nothing if not predictable. What can I say, I like black!
So do my room mates, evidently.

I wish I’d brought my camera to the parties but I didn’t want to lug it. I did grab a shot of a group of fancy ladies dressed in… you guessed it! More black! We were waiting in line to get into Total Bliss at the District, generously sponsored by Tide and Jockey.
There were lots of fabulous outfits, and no, they weren’t all black, but I didn’t capture them on film. Still, black ruled the night.

I love color. I do wear a lot of black and grey for dress up, but I look for a lot more color, like purples and greens and blues.
First off, y’all look gawgeous!! Sometimes I’ll go with jewel tones but I usually go with black to get all dressed up.

Yes, I’m a black clothing kinda girl too. But I glam it up with colorful jewelry and shoes. I try to find something out of my comfort zone when shopping but the black always pulls me back in.
I am trying to wear more color. Not that I get out all that much. My main dress-up events are weddings and I definitely opt for color for those. But when I’m dressing to go on a date with my husband I tend towards black (he happens to love black though). I try to wear colorful accessories.
AH! You all look so good! So cute! I wear black, and sometimes a tiny bit of color to break it up a bit. That is, if I ever go out, which is rare!

I like to wear black too to dress up, but I usually go for some color some wear in the outfit…even if just a POP!
