Pampered by ULTA

I always wonder what it must be like to be a movie star or someone who has a personal makeup artist to make them look beautiful every day. I’ve always struggled with makeup application, and I never turn down the chance to sit in a chair and have someone else take over.

At Dawn and Elizabeth‘s Blogger Beauty Day at New York Fashion Week sponsored by ULTA Beauty, I got to do just that!

I didn’t make any special requests, I just let the makeup artist take over and do her thing.

When it was all over, I didn’t even see the results. The photographer whisked me over to the window to take some shots in a more flattering light.

I have to admit, I’m not afraid of heights, but I felt as precarious as that little pigeon looked on the ledge across the street.

Can I just say, I felt nekkid all day because I forgot to put on my necklace before I left the house, and I kick myself every time I look at these photos.

I love this shot — isn’t it classic? Two women at a social media event.

What a fun event. Big kudos to Dawn and Elizabeth for pulling it off.

Wow, you look amazing! I’m the same way, meaning I do not feel I’m that great with applying make up myself. And can you believe we do not have ULTA where I live? I miss it so…

You look stunning! I love having my make-up done! I think the last time that happened I was a bridesmaid in someones wedding……way too long ago.

You look beautiful. I kick myself over forgetting my earrings. I don’t forget them now, but in the event that I do, I keep extras in my purse. I hate nekkid ears!

    Such stunning pictures!

I’m the same way about makeup application – unsure.

Someday, I’d love to take a one-on-one “class” on how to apply make-up correctly.
