First and foremost. HOW DID IT GET TO BE MARCH?

Okay, now that that’s out of the way. It would be an understatement to say that I have spring fever. I usually don’t count my chickens in March, as this tends to be the most temperamental month of the year, and I have to manage my expectations lest I let the winter doldrums get the best of me. BUT. I am cautiously optimistic because this winter has been SO MILD and it is so delightful to get up WITH the sun and not BEFORE the sun anymore, that I am letting myself get a. little. bit. excited. about SPRING!

Wednesday was a rainy day, and I worked from home but I forced myself to get dressed down to my shoes. WOOT!

teal ruffle neck tee with tan cords and embellished ballet flats

Mainly I wanted an excuse to wear my new Studio Jewel necklace. I bought this from Lisa at Blissdom. The teal ruffle-neck top is from LOFT, and the tan cords are Joe’s. The embellished ballet flats are from Nine West (years ago). I’m so sad that they close the Nine West store at the King of Prussia Mall. I used to get so many shoes from there. Boo.

Thursday was my hubby’s birthday (which has nothing to do with what I wore, but I just wanted to say, HAPPY BIRTHDAY, Paul. You are seriously the best thing that ever happened to me.) So I wore this outfit mainly because it was comfortable. I don’t remember if I went anywhere that day or not. Boots would balance out the chunky sweater, but I was in the mood to wear flats. So there.

This was Friday’s outfit. (Ugh, I should have done my hair.)

After working out at the gym, I came home and worked at my computer and did typical mom stuff. I wore my Athleta Rib Zip Hoodie (OMG IT IS NOW AVAILABLE IN A GORGEOUS PUNCH PINK! Be still my heart . . . ) Um okay, settling back down now.

I decided to try it with a gray tank rather than my usual blue (it looks better with blue) and I wore my gray Ugg and skinny jeans with my Grace Tags necklace. I still think this outfit would be better with Converse sneakers. They are on my Must-Buy List for spring.

What? Don’t you have a Must-Buy List for every season?? You SHOULD!

Saturday I did a few errands and then just hung around the house. I wanted to be comfy so I wore my new Dr. Schol’s sneakers that I got at Blissdom with my favorite skinny jeans, purple tank and navy blue Gap hoodie. I wore my Grace Tags necklace again (I probably slept in it. Oops!)

Seriously, how fun are these? And they are comfy to boot.

Sunday was church, and I decided to get one last wear out of my poncho (from LOFT) before I put it away for the season. I was planning to wear it with my black cords and boots, as usual, and then it occurred to me that it would go perfectly with my new red jeans — the DL 1961 Emma Legging in Tabasco, to be exact.

I think I might have liked it better with black booties… next time I’ll try that. Or next winter, I guess!

I wore my Encircled Earrings from Studio Jewel and the Lagos bracelet my husband got me for Christmas. I need to take a close-up sometime.

Finally, I wore this to run errands. The green sweater and brown tank are from Nordstrom, a couple of years ago. The jeans are Citizens (also old, and on a mega sale at Bloomies) and the embellished flats are Nine West. The necklace is from Studio Jewel.

I thought I’d try a new location and the lighting is HORRIBLE. So. Next week, it’s back to the kitchen! Ha.

And that’s all I’ve got for this week.

  1. Brier Willis says:

what size is your athleta hoodie? debating what size i would need. i typically wear a 6 or 8.

  2. The lighting IS bad in that last picture, but the wall color is FABULOUS!

  3. Cute sneakers and love the red jeans with your poncho!

  4. I love the first outfit you have on. The color looks amazing on you!

  5. Ok, the Dr. Sccholl’s tennis are cure but eh, not with the skinnies. My feet are a 10.5 and I’m thinking they would look huge!

  6. The Dr Scholl’s sneakers are cute, but they have flats that feel just as good and are cuter! I’ve never thought flats were very comfy, but I just got these (in a color that isn’t online any more :( ) and they’re great! The do run a bit big though, go down half a size!
