Psalm 24

Of David. A psalm.

The earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it,
the world, and all who live in it;
for he founded it on the seas
and established it on the waters.

Who may ascend the mountain of the Lord?
Who may stand in his holy place?
The one who has clean hands and a pure heart,
who does not trust in an idol
or swear by a false god.

They will receive blessing from the Lord
and vindication from God their Savior.
Such is the generation of those who seek him,
who seek your face, God of Jacob.

Lift up your heads, you gates;
be lifted up, you ancient doors,
that the King of glory may come in.
Who is this King of glory?
The Lord strong and mighty,
the Lord mighty in battle.
Lift up your heads, you gates;
lift them up, you ancient doors,
that the King of glory may come in.
10 Who is he, this King of glory?
The Lord Almighty—
he is the King of glory.

    Jo-Lynne, Thank you for this inspirational Psalm today….As I said, I do believe everything in this life happens for a reason, And I believe the Good Lord guided me to your site…Thank you for getting back to me so quickly…Yes, I do cook ! I was taught by a little Jewish grandmother of a friend how to make chicken soup from “Scratch”, boiling the chicken, then adding all those fresh celery, carrots, and few noodles…I then knew why she always said her soup was the “Best Cure” for what ailed you, Not just the common cold ! I will look up the GAP diet and keep in touch ! Thank You Again !

    Jo-Lynne,
    Is it a “Westie” in the picture ? I have a Westie, “Bailey”, that will be 15 on October 27th. He has had Addison’s Disease for half of his life, And always did well with it until the last 8 months or so…Everyday with him now is a gift from God, But the Terrier in him is what keeps him going…That is what the vet says…He is the child I never could have, and soooo spoiled, as is our Cairn terrier, “Butch” who will be 13 on November 9th, but in perfect health…They have both been such blessings in my husband and I’s lives…Both breeds, such great family dogs…

      Ruth, she is a shih tzu, or that is what we believe her to be. She probably is a mix. She was turned in as a stray in Philly, and a neighbor who runs a rescue found her and took her out. She knew we were looking for a small family dog, so she called us and let us know she had her. We met her, fell in love and the rest is history.

      We just got her this past summer. My daughter needed a special friend in her life, and this dog has become all that and more. She is such a blessing to our family. :-)

    Hi Jo-Lynne! I live in the Philippines. I saw your blog when I typed ” how to wear necklace” on google. I find your tips very informative and I am glad that you are a Christ follower too just like me. I am a believer of Jesus Christ and saved by His grace alone. Not only that I was able to get tips on necklace and necklines but was also inspired by Psalm of David that you posted! Looking forward to more fashion tips ( hairstyle please!) and inspirational posts from you. :)
