Thanksgiving may not have officially arrived, but I think it’s safe to say the holiday shopping season has begun. In anticipation of Black Friday and Cyber Monday, and shoppers everywhere are laying out their plan of attack. Those who love the thrill of shopping on Black Friday are going to be delighted to hear about Tanger Outlet’s Moonlight Madness event!

4 Holiday Trends for 2012
1. Metallics.
This is probably the easiest trend to incorporate into your existing wardrobe. Instead of wearing basic black shoes with your LBD, try spicing up your outfit with a metallic shoe instead. And don’t feel like your shoes have to match your bag. Like Stacy and Clinton always say, “It doesn’t have to match; it has to GO.”
Or, dress up your favorite jeans with a metallic clutch. It’s a simple, easy way to update what you already have hanging in your closet!
2. Shimmer
Shimmer is really making its appearance this season. I love a great shimmer top… totally dresses up your favorite pair of jeans. And don’t think that shimmer is only for nighttime. Feel free to inject some shimmer into your casual outfits too!
3. Red
Red is hotter than ever this season. If you’re really daring, go for a red dress!
Personally, I’m a bit of a wallflower. My personal style takes a “less is more” approach. I’d more likely go for a single red piece to pop a neutral outfit. Then I’d add a punch of red in my makeup — either lipstick or nail polish.
Confession: I’ve ALWAYS wanted a pair of red boots like those.
4. Statement Pieces
If you’re still wearing that diminutive necklace, now is the time to give a statement necklace a try. Small jewelry really dates an outfit. Look how you can elevate a very simple outfit with a piece of statement jewelry.
