Ultimate Double Chocolate Brownies

HOW is it possible that I’ve never posted this recipe? I make it ALL. THE. TIME.

It is seriously the best brownie recipe ever. I’ve been making it regularly ever since I got married over 17 years ago. It came in a Pillsbury dessert recipe cookbook I received as a wedding present and quickly became a family favorite. These are a rich, dense, gooey type of brownie. If you like cakey brownies, they aren’t for you.

All the kids love these — and their friends too. They have become somewhat of a legend, but I can’t take credit. I just follow the original recipe to a T.

It’s super easy, and it is delicious because it is full of butter and eggs.

Comments

  1. I usually cheat and use a mix for GF brownies-Trader Joe’s and Wegman’s have great ones, but I think an all-purpose GF flour would work.

  2. Yum, these sound like my kind of brownies! Don’t think I’ve made brownies without a boxed mix since high school, may have to change that!

  3. I just put a batch of these in the oven. If they come out half as good as the batter tastes, I’m in big trouble!! Thanks so much for sharing the recipe! My girls are going to be so excited when they get home!

I don’t normally eat grains or sugar but I needed a dessert to take to a family gathering tomorrow. I will definitely be splurging and trying one because they. smell. so. good.

  5. For me, this is the right brownies because it looks chewy and soft. I can’t really say no to your ultimate double chocolate brownies. Everyone loves sweets and this is the best reward or something that you must have for Christmas.
