Holiday Gift Guide | Stocking Stuffers for Guys

It’s always tough to find stocking stuffers for guys, but I think stockings are one of the most enjoyable Christmas traditions. In fact, I don’t see any reason to stop putting out stockings when you reach a certain age. Everyone should have the enjoyment of digging deep into the toe of a Christmas sock to find hidden treasures. Right!??

Because they are usually small and less expensive gifts, it takes some thought and creativity, but that’s what makes it so much fun!

Here are some ideas to help you out if you’re filling a stocking for the man in your life. This post is sponsored by Gillette, so stay tuned for a fun giveaway!

10 Stocking Stuffer Ideas for Guys

1. The Paintbrush Cover, $3.99

This is a really cool gift for the DIYer in your life. You know how you have to wash your paintbrush out right away if you want to keep your brush in good working condition? Not so anymore! This cool paintbrush cover seals it up so you can leave the paint on your brush and come back in a few hours, days or even weeks and pick right up where you left off. I know it sounds like a gimmick  but my husband, who does a lot of painting and is NOT a sucker for the latest gimmick, swears by this thing.

 2. 6 in 1 Screwdriver

This is a handy tool to keep in your junk drawer in the kitchen. With 1/4″ and 5/16″ Nut Setter, 2 Phillips and 2 slotted bits, you have what you need at your fingertips for almost any quick household chore.

3. Maglite Mini Flashlight

I think we have a half dozen of these in various drawers throughout the house. They are great to keep around so you have one handy if the electricity fails, or if you need to see into a small dark space to find something.

Hat tip to Handyguys Podcast for these clever ideas!

4. LED Book Light

I love these little LED book lights. Everyone in our household has one. They are perfect for reading in bed, and if there’s someone sleeping next to you, it won’t disturb them. They hook onto your favorite book (or in my case, my Kindle) and make it really easy to read in the dark.

5. Big Skinny Wallets

I was recently introduced to Big Skinny Wallets, and as soon as I saw it I knew it was going in my gift guide. My husband is always on the lookout for the thinnest wallet he can find, and I think this one takes the cake. These ultra-thin, flat wallets use a proprietary ultra-thin (but sturdy) nylon micro-fiber wallet material that allows them to fits everything you need while decreasing final wallet size by 50% or more.

6. Mobile Phone Charger

You can always use one of these, right? Plus, if your car is anything like mine, you could use two — one for you and one for the kids to use in the backseat. I cannot recount the number of times I’ve gone to charge my phone and one of the kids has snagged my charger.

7. Key Chain Bottle Opener

Aren’t these great little gifts? My husband is always coming home from work and asking where the bottle opener is. If he had this, it would be right on his keychain.

8. Yurbuds Ironman Armband

I love this armband for my iPhone, and it make a great gift for anyone who likes to listen to their tunes while they exercise. They make it for iPod Touch/iPhone 4, iPhone 5, and the Samsung Galaxy SII & SIII Tablets.

9. Gloves

Keep his hands warm and dry when he’s scraping ice off his car’s windshield on those frosty mornings before work with these these windproof, quick-dry gloves. Hey, if you’re especially sweet, maybe he’ll scrape yours too!

10. Gillette Fusion Proglide 3-In-1 Styler

This is cool because it is has 3 different blades for all his trimming and shaving and styling needs. Even my husband, who is generally a skeptic when it comes to razors and trimmers and really the design of any new device, muttered, “This is cool,” as he was looking it over. You don’t know what high praise that is!

Thank you for these suggestions! I was just asking friends about this. My husband just started training for a triathlon and the armband is a perfect stocking stuffer. Will be needing that paintbrush cover soon too, I just don’t want to remind him of all the painting in his near future. ;)

I think the wallet is a great idea. My husband’s trifold wallet is so fat that it unfolds itself when he sets it on the counter. :-)

  3. Clare says

I am a subscriber. While I think the Big Skinny wallet is great, the car-plugin mobile phone charger would rock his world.

Also, I wish Gillette had offered this prize package during Movember! A stylin’ ‘stache is a must.

Your ideas for guy gifts are great! …..going out to get gloves and flashlights for stocking stuffers! Wish I could find a source for the paint brush covers so I could have those on hand too! I am soooo done with plastic bags!

I love the paint brush cover. I really could have used this with the projects I have been working on in the last month. I wish my husband was the DIT painter in our house but it tends to be me!
