Moxie Jean | Online Consignment Shopping

I’m a relatively new convert to the benefits of consignment shopping, but I’m hooked. Ever since I attended a huge collaborative consignment kids sale last fall where I scored some great pieces for each of my kids that they have enjoyed all winter, I’ve been wanting to do more of my kids’ clothes shopping at second-hand stores. Not only can I save so much money, but I don’t feel quite so freakish about them getting their clothes dirty when I buy them pre-owned.

The problem? Time! I don’t have time to drive all over the suburbs to the best consignment stores to weed through the racks to find the gems. I don’t even have time to go to the mall. As a result, I’m much more inclined to shop online for my kids’ clothes.

But lately I’ve been consignment store shopping online with Moxie Jean — an upscale resale site providing ‘like new’ kids clothing size newborn to size 8.

I am really so excited to tell you about Moxie Jean because it takes the hunt out of consignment shopping and makes it so super easy to find like-new, stylish children’s clothing at great prices. Not only that, but you can consign your own kids’ outgrown clothes and earn “Moxie Money” to spend at Moxie Jean or cash in your pocket.

For me, this is a win-win because I donate TONS of my kids’ clothes every year and never see a dime for it because I don’t want to take the time to organize and tag it and participate in a local consignment sale.

But now? I don’t have to.

Moxie Jean sends you a bag in the mail.

It is all addressed and postage paid. You just have to fill it with your kids’ outgrown clothes (only the good stuff — no stains, tears or signs of wear) and send it back! Anything they can’t use, they recycle.

I don’t have a ton of things right now because it is mid-season, but when I start cleaning out our winter closets, I’m going to need several Moxie Jean mailer bags.

I also did some shopping at MoxieJean.com. I was thrilled with how easy it was. They put outfits together for you, and everything is promised to be in like-new condition.

In fact, several pieces I received still had the tags on them! Like this dress from Gap Kids.

I ordered all this… two dresses (Gap and Gymboree — new with tags) and 3 tops and 3 pair of shorts for only $50.

When the box came, they included a new mailer bag that I’m keeping nearby for my big Winter Closet Clean-Out in a few months!

The only problem I have so far with Moxie Jean is that my youngest daughter is currently wearing a size 7, and she is about to outgrow their site. I do so hope that they begin to carry larger sizes!!!!

I love that Moxie Jean is a company built by moms for moms, and they are the only online reseller of kid’s clothing offering a 100% money back guarantee. You can’t beat that.

As if that’s not enough excitement for one post, check out this giveaway that Moxie Jean is hosting with Peg-Perego.

  7. Awesome!! My kids are in sizes 6/7 & 5/6 so I might be able to use them for a couple years. I love this idea. I am a huge fan of consignment store clothes. Even for myself and my husband. if it’s a good quality brand and it looks good I will buy it. Even if it doesn’t last as long as it would’ve brand new I still didn’t have to shell out big bucks. :)

  8. Cool stuff! And the service looks awesome – I’ll have to check it out, thanks!

  9. Such cute things! I wish they were around when my girls were young.
