I’m probably late to the game, but our school doesn’t start (thankfully!!) until September 3rd, and I have been living in denial so I’m just starting to get our back-to-school gear together. If anyone else is like me and still needs some ideas and recommendations for gear and accessories, I’ve put together a list of things you might need (or want) for your kids going back to school.
This is an alternative to the traditional lunchbox. I love that Laptop Lunches reusable Bento food storage containers are manufactured in Northern California and made from #5 plastic that contains no lead, BPA, phthalates or PVC. Last year, Laptop Lunches sent me a Bento box to review, and my kids loved it. You can also purchase their insulated bags to hold the Bento box conveniently, which I would definitely recommend.
2. Kid Kanteen with or without sport cap
I love the look of the Kid Kanteen (I haven’t tried one, although I might order a few to tryout). It is small and lightweight and holds 12 ounces of water, and it is dishwasher safe (this is key for me! I hate hand-washing water bottles.) The wide mouth makes it easy to clean. These are made from high quality, 18/8, food-grade stainless steel that’s totally free of BPA, lead and other toxins. The sports cap makes it easy to drink without screwing and unscrewing the lid each time, and there are no fussy straws to deal with.
If you prefer a plastic option, these WaterWeek water bottles by Reduce are also dishwasher safe as well as free from BPA, phthalates and lead. And they have the wide bottle neck that I like. They’re also quite affordable — $15 for a pack of five in the 10-ounce size and $18 for five of the 16-ounce size. They come in really cute colors too. I just ordered a set of these, and thanks to Amazon Prime, they came the next day! They are super cute, and such a great size for preschool and elementary aged kids.
How cute are these!? And eco-friendly too!
Through my affiliation with FitFluential, I received the Hustle Storm Backpack from Under Armour this week. This is a great backpack for your older kids.
My daughter loves the neon colors, and I was impressed with the quality construction. We especially like all the various compartments — especially the spot for a phone or iPod. This backpack should last her several years.
If you have older kids, you probably have iPhones and iPods and iPads and iEverything. RuMe sent me some of their cute tech accessories to try out. I love the personalized iPhone case they sent me with the letter J on the back. And you can also send in your own photos and have them applied to your iPhone case if you desire. And good news! They’re now available at Target.
They make them for iPad too! They sent me this one, and I can’t wait to send it in to be personalized with a photo of my kids.
Their lightweight reusable totes are great — perfect for carrying library books or a child’s instrumental music for band or orchestra. They are strong — they hold up to 50 pounds, but they roll up small to tuck neatly into your child’s backpack or your purse. They can be personalized as well.
And how cute is this Baggie ALL? My daughter has already confiscated mine to use for her school supplies.
Finally, I’m in love with their cClean self-adhering reusable screen wipes. It’s an antibacterial, reusable screen cleaner that leaves your screen crisp and sanitized. The cClean sticks to the back of your device with non-residue adhesive so you don’t lose it. BRILLIANT! I can’t find it online, but here is what it looks like.
You can find RuMe’s cCase for iPhone, cCover for iPad and iPad mini, Baggie All, and cClean on endcaps in the electronics department at Target. (This has nothing to do with my affiliation with the Target Inner Circle; I was sent these products directly from RuMe.)
What are the Back-To-School products that you can’t live without!??
disclosure: I received some of these product for review, and some are items that I found on my own that I like. I was not compensated for this post.
