Last week I spent a few days in Providence, Rhode Island at the CVS Pharmacy HQ learning about their new myWeekly Ad program that launched this month. They provided me with an iPad Mini so I could experience the program before the media event.
I didn’t give much thought to drugstore loyalty until I received this invitation. I actually do use CVS almost exclusively for our pharmacy and drugstore needs so I was excited to get a chance to meet the folks behind the brand and to find out more about the new myWeekly Ad program.
If you have a CVS Extra Care card, you’re gonna love this!
On September 13, CVS Pharmacy launched a completely new way to browse the weekly sales circular called myWeekly Ad. myWeekly Ad reinvents the traditional circular – instead of 45 million people checking one circular to see all the same sales and deals on the front page and inside, those 45 million people can access their own version of the weekly sales ad – and each of you will see the deals and sale items for the week that matter most to you! You’ll be able to easily find the best deals on your favorite, frequently-purchased products, as well as create detailed, sharable shopping lists and even quickly scan all the items you can buy to earn circular ExtraBucks Rewards that week.
Let’s break it down.
So whereas before, you could pick up a paper circular that had all the weekly deals, now the deals will be tailor made to YOU and what you shop for. Don’t worry, you can still access all the same deals that everyone else can, but you can now log into your own account and see the deals organized in such a way that the most relevant are on top.
Check it out at CVS.com/myWeeklyAd.
Click on the big SIGN UP NOW button to create an account. You have to do this even if you already have an Extra Care card. This is your CVS.com account, so it is different.
Once you’re signed in, poke around. You can see how your page is organized into “Deals on Things You Buy” and then “Recommended Deals”. Then below that you can see all your Extra Care Savings. And finally, below that, you will see ALL the ExtraCare offers. So you won’t miss anything, but the deals for the things you buy will be the most easy to access.
See, here is mine.
Clearly we are accident prone and highly allergic to life. LOL!!
You can print out your coupons right there, and you can also click on “Add to List” to make a shopping list. Once you make your list, you can view it and see all the deals and adjust the quantities so you can make the most of the sales. Once you’re done, you can choose to email the list or print it. Sweet, right??
You can also view the deals by category when you click on the tabs across the top — Medicine & Health, Beauty, Home, Grocery, Personal Care, etc.
I don’t know about you, but I tend to lose track of those paper coupons that I get at the register. But with this new myWeekly Ad program, I can plan my shopping trip and make the most out of the weekly deals.
And if you have a smartphone or tablet, you can do all of this on the CVS app. So if you’re like me, and you tend to stop in spontaneously, you can quickly check your app and see what the deals are that you don’t want to miss.
Are you a loyal CVS customer? If so, what do you think? Will you use the new myWeekly Ad program to shop smarter at CVS? If you’re not a regular CVS customer, does this make you want to give it a shot?
I’m not an avid couponer because it generally seems too complicated and time consuming, but this is definitely something I’ll use to help our family save and shop smarter.
Many thanks to CVS for sponsoring this media event and providing me with an iPad Mini to experience myWeekly ads. I was not asked to post about the myWeekly Ad program, but this is too good not to share!
