5 Must Have Boots for Fall 2013

You should have known I’d come around to this topic eventually! After all, next to handbags, shoes are my favorite fashion obsession.

And there is nothing quite like boot weather to make a shoe girl’s heart sing! I’m putting together a list this week of the 5 must-have boot styles I think every girl should have in her wardrobe this fall.

5 Must Have Boots for Fall 2013

1. Moto

This year moto is a huge trend. Moto-inspired jackets and jeans are everywhere, so it’s only fitting that moto-inspired boots aren’t far behind.

I tend to gravitate to classic styles, but I like to throw in something edgy every once in a while to keep my look fresh and young. Moto boots aren’t only a fun look, but they’re a practical shoe choice for those crip, cool fall days because they keep your feet warm and dry, and they should be pretty comfortable to walk in. I’ve got my eye on this Bellville Boot by SoftWalk. Or for a less expensive option, consider the Nine West Finally at 6pm.com

2. Casual Bootie

You KNOW how much I’m obsessed with my new Toms Desert Booties. These come in a bunch of fun colors and patterns (yes, patterns too!) and they are super comfortable to wear. And at $88.95, they won’t break the bank either.

3. Rain Boot

This is the year I will get myself a pair of rain boots. I mean it! EVERY year I kick myself when the October rains hit for not owning rain boots. This is your chance to go for a fun color or pattern. I’m loving this leopard print Kenya Rain Boot by Kamik!

4. Dress Boots

A pair of neutral-colored dressy knee-high boots are a must-have in every woman’s wardrobe. They go with everything from jeans to dresses. The Lavender Boot by Me Too is a great choice with its classic styling. Or take a look at the Dansko Brinkley Boot, which I have been wearing for the past two years. It is now at 6pm.com for $132.50. These boots are super comfortable, and they go from day to night effortlessly.

Right now the bootie is taking the fashion world by storm. You can’t go wrong with a tall dress boot, but you’ll be more trendy in a short dress bootie such as the Steve Madden Panelope Bootie. It’s up to you! Or, if you have the budget, do both!

5. Riding Boots

These are a classic and will be in your closet for years so this is not a time to skimp. I love Frye’s Melissa Button Boot but this Juletta Tall Riding Boot by Naturalizer is more affordable and ALMOST as cute. Also worth considering is the ECCO Hobart Tall Strap Boot.

Which pair of boots tops YOUR wish list?? As I always say, a girl can never have too many boots!!

I love boots and am so excited that Fall is here and I can legitimately wear mine! I have ben eyeing those Toms booties since I saw them on your blog. Can you tell me how they run? Are they pretty true to size? I am thinking of ordering them on-line (and I hate to return!)
    Thanks!
