It’s another vacation edition of Daily Mom Style, where I join several fabulous fashion roundups and showcase some of my favorite outfits from the week. Keeping it stylish after 40 is a delicate balancing act, and I’m always trying to find new ways to keep my style current without looking like I’m trying too hard. Because no one wants to be THAT GIRL, can I get an amen?

I’ve spent several days in gym shorts and tank tops so I don’t have a lot to show you, but I did manage to clean myself up a few times this week.

I wore this outfit one night when my husband and I went out on a casual dinner date. The embellished black top is old, but it’s still a favorite. I love a black top with white jeans. These are the DL1961 Angel Skinny in Milk, one of my favorite jeans because the fit is perfect, and they do not stretch out a bit. Love that. The bracelet is from Paparazzi and earrings are Stella & Dot.

I wore my black shorts (Ann Taylor) and white tee (White House Black Market) a different day to do some sightseeing. Also shown: FitFlops, earrings and necklace from Stella & Dot, and my trusty Tory Burch Amanda Crossbody that I’ve found myself carrying ALL the time. I think I’m finally at the stage of life where I don’t need a ginormous bag all the time. Woot!

A few days later, same white shirt, this time with my favorite jeans, which are on an AMAZING sale at Nordstrom for a few more days. Pardon the clutter in the background. It was too windy to take pictures outside. The gold disc necklace is one of the new Stella & Dot engravables, and my Romy wedge sandals are also on a fantastic sale. I adore these.

And to prove that I do have some color in my life, I wore this pink and white striped sweater with my faithful cuffed denim jean shorts to hang out at camp on a typical Maine summer day. The high temps were only in the mid-70s. DIVINE!

    Beautiful as always Jo-Lynne!
The AG Stilt Jean— they’ve been in my shopping cart off and on since the dang sale started! ugh! To buy or not to buy??? I’m extremely nervous about buying jeans online!!! So can I ask- are these low ride jeans?? The info says they fit 2′ above the navel…is that so?? What is the waistband like? Is it an easy-type fit or more of a slim fit? Is is the right pair of jeans for someone who “might” have a muffin top??

Their return service is super easy so there’s no risk in ordering. I do have a bit of a muffin top and they fit me very well. I love that they’re slim cut but not too-too skinny.

Nothing is more chic and more seasonless than a black+white look. I love my white cropped pants and my black shorts. In my next post, I will show 2 different ways I have remixed my black shorts. Stay tuned. =)

    Have a Fabulous Week Jo-Lynne!!
