Father’s Day Gift Ideas *with Giveaway*

father's-day-gift-guide

It’s almost June, and Father’s Day is just around the corner! For some reason, dads don’t seem to get the same attention on Father’s Day that we moms get on Mother’s Day, and I think that’s sad. You simply can’t underestimate the value of a strong father figure in the life of a child, and now more than ever, dads are sharing parenting and household duties with their wives. They certainly deserve their own special day as much as we do, dontcha think??

My husband doesn’t really give a hoot about receiving a gift, but gifts are my love language and I like to have a little something for him. I’ll also make sure he gets to take the day off and do something just for him, whether is time to nap or read or go for a hike because he rarely gets to do that due to his overwhelming and never-ending “honey do list.”

Now my dad, he is all about receiving cards with a thoughtful sentiment so I’ll be stopping into CVS to peruse Hallmark’s Father’s Day card selections. They always have just the right thing. Whether I want something funny or sentimental, they nail it every time.

Guys can be hard to shop for, so I gathered some ideas to help you out if your stumped. Perhaps one of these will inspire you!

And stay tuned for a GIVEAWAY PRIZE PACK at the end of this post including a $100 gift card to Kohl’s, a Boconi leather wallet AND a special edition Father’s Day Glossybox!!!

Some of these products were provided for review and others are from my affiliate partners and just look like a good idea so I included them too. Enjoy!

We’ve been using these grilling tools that were sent to us for review and they’re definitely making our grilling chores more convenient!

polaroid-wall-decals

Appeal to his sensitive side and gift him with Polaroid Wall Decals from Paper Culture. They are removable, repositionable, and best yet, they are good for the environment because they are made of 100% recycled materials. Golf Apparel and Equipment, various price points

kohls golf shop

If he’s more at home on the golf course, check out the Kohl’s Pro Shop for golf apparel and equipment. Like this Grand Slam 1/4-Zip or the Wilson Lite Carryall Golf Bag. Or if he’s all set on the essentials, help him stay organized with this Golf Trunk Locker. If your guy’s anything like mine, his stuff is scattered all over his car. This would be a handy way to keep his golf gear in one place.

I felt this post was lacking something techy so I reached out to my husband to see what he would suggest. For a guy who doesn’t want anything, he sure has expensive taste in gift suggestions, ahem….

Motorola MOTO X

Moto X

“For the geeky Dad in need of great mobile…” he says. It comes in a variety of colors, and he also pointed out that you can engrave the back of the Moto X, which makes it even more appropriate as a gift. (And again, with the grad gifts!!)

Here’s why he loves it:

1. Touchless Control

  • Want to answer a text while you are driving without ever looking at or touching your smart phone? No problem.
  • Need directions? Just ask.
  • Need to find out what meetings you have today? Again, you never have to touch or look at phone. Same for weather, phone calling, or finding out the oldest living person.

2. True Android OS without any branded skins. You get the true OS as Google designed it. Many mobile companies overlay their own interface on top of Android, which is not always good.

3. Very few cell carrier crapware apps installed. Yes, crapware is a technical term, I’m quite sure of it. (Sorry, that was me, Jo-Lynne, I’ll be quiet now.)

4. Design your own colors and have the device shipped directly from Motorola. This is the way to order the device. You get what you want with no pushy sales people.

5. Lots of choices for accessories.

6. Perfect size. Not too big or too small. Fits nicely in your hand.

Jo-Lynne, here again. I have to admit, I’ve been jonesing for one of these, myself. I’m about ready to abandon Apple. The Android phones are so much smarter.

As for his “Handyguy” (and much more affordable) suggestion …

Stanley All In One Screwdriver, $3.99

All In One Screwdriver

All-in-one screw driver is always handy,” he says. He’s always recommending this when I ask for gift ideas, so if your guy doesn’t have one, now is a great time to snag one for him. Also, at just $3.99, this makes a great gift for kids to give their dads.

  1. Linda says

It is always so hard to come up with new ideas for my husband! This would be a great help . Thanks for the giveaway.

  2. Mandy S says

For my husband, I think the screwdriver suggestion is the best. Maybe throw in a cheap flashlight too. He loses flashlights like crazy, so keeping him stocked in the ones that are under $5 is a good idea. :-)

  3. Julie Wood says

My Dad likes to fix things-so the All in one Screwdriver or the Wilson Lite Carryall Golf Bag. Both are great items to get.

  4. Beth says

Hubby always needs a new wallet. He tries to stuff way too much stuff into his so then they stretch out and stuff starts falling out. I know there are pants he wants from Kohl’s right now so the GC would make an even better gift!

  5. Megan says

Thanks for the great ideas and the super giveaway! we will be away for Father’s Day, so I need to plan ahead!
    Cheers!

  6. Melissa M says

I think the All in one Screwdriver is my favorite. Not only because it’s a very handy item, but also because I can “borrow” it from time to time. ;)

  7. Nicole Dz says

My dad is so into his tech so I would have to say the Motorola MOTO X is the best gift idea here. He would love this.

  8. alena svetelska says

my husband is handy man,he would like the screwdriver or he loves his grill so any grilling accesorries he would absolutly love it.

  9. melinda b says

Probably the Kohl’s card to let him pick out something he would wear. I think actually I am going to make him a CD of mixed songs for his truck, he is always trying to borrow our Luke Bryan cds & you know Men..I may never see the cd again if it goes to his truck. Also thinking about a small fire pit.

  10. Rhonda says

Great gift ideas! I think my Dad would really enjoy the Polaroid Wall Decals (fun) but then again, he likes practical… so maybe a new golf shirt from Kohls would be the right gift. lol

  11. Kim in RI says

Great ideas! I think I am actually going to get that golf back for my hubs. I always get him something as he never ever buys for himself! Thanks for the ideas.
Now – ask your hubby what is so special about that phone. I am looking into a new one myself and the price on that one is not too shabby.

  12. Karen Ostrom says

no doubt the Grill Daddy set, I just bought him a new grill for an early Father’s day present and this would be super to go with it

  13. Lisa says

Probably the all in one screwdriver – my dad is such a mess so it’d be good to keep things altogether!

  14. says

Well, I like the screwdriver, but I’ve gotten in trouble for giving him tools – for hubby, that’d be like giving me an appliance! So I love the Moto!

  15. Dawn Monroe says

I think the wallet and grill tools are a great idea. I think Kohls has a good selection for mens shoes too, love the shoe clearance.

  16. Betsy Barnes says

The Men’s Glossy Box for Bergdorf Goodman is my favorite Father’s Day gift idea. It’s perfect for both my dad and hubby, they love these types of gifts :)

  17. Alona Y says

The Glossybox is my favorite gift from the list! It’s always hard to find things my hubby likes since all the ones sold at regular stores are kind of the same, I’d bet that he’d love the items in this!

  18. says

I feel he would like the wallet. He can wear them out so quickly, but maybe a good, nice made wallet would hold up to his wear and tear. Thank you for the nice review and many blessings.

  19. Janice Cooper says

Definitely the all in one screwdriver. My step-dad loves to tinker with his cars and motorcycles. This would be perfect!

  20. says

I would like the Kohl’s GC to get more bbq tools (I can never have enough tongs, esp during bbq season!) and I’ve never had a Glossybox, but the items sound really cool. Thanks for the chance

  21. Leigh Anne Borders says

We always buy my daddy a gift card to a steak restaurant somewhere! He loves to eat them and we want him to enjoy it!

  22. Kim in RI says

I thought for sure I already left a reply but don’t see it! Based on this post, I ordered the golf bag for my hubby for father’s day!

  23. Danielle Papsis says

My favorite is the all in one screwdriver. My boyfriend can never have too many tools. He’s always buying something or showing us something else he “needs”.

  24. Kim in RI says

The golf bag came today while I was at work and hubs called and said he loves it! so, it was a win! Thanks so much!

  25. Jennifer Lachman says

The grill daddy is my favorite, because my husband loves to cook on the grill and I love not having to cook when he grills.

  26. Jenna Okazaki says

My grandfather would love that wallet! He called his wallet “bamboocha” and thinks it gives him an “extra butt-cheek.”

  27. Melissa Teears says

My husband would like the GRILL DADDY: KING TONG PRO ($44.99) AND HEAT SHIELD SPATULA & TONGS ($19.99).

  28. says

The all in one screwdriver would be perfect for my hubby as he is the who fixes almost everything. He would be happy with the flashlight as well

  29. says

The all in one screwdriver who be best for my husband as he is the one who fixes everything. He would love the flash light too
