Weekly Menu Plan 03.30.14 #REALFOODRECIPIES

I’m really excited to announce that this is the LAST WEEK of the Gluten-Free Weekly Meal Plan and Recipe Roundup. Starting next week, I’ll be partnering with Alison from Sassy Moms in the City and we are expanding the link up to include all recipes based on real, whole foods. Alison and I will be alternating weeks hosting the linky, but we will both be posting our own “recipe roundups” each week in the form of our weekly meal plans.

Alison has been dabbling in the paleo lifestyle for a while, she eats a lot of raw foods, and definitely gluten-free. But for both of us, our focus is on making meals for our families with real food that isn’t highly processed. We’re hoping that expanding the linky to include meals that aren’t exclusively gluten-free will help to grow the recipe roundup to be a resource for healthy dinner recipes no matter if you eat gluten-free or not.

We will be changing the title and making new graphics but my weekly meal plans will not change. I do hope that more of you will feel welcome to link up your recipes now that we’ve expanded the parameters to include all real food recipes. The new linky will be aptly called the Real Food Recipe Roundup!

AND. We will be kicking off our new collaboration with a super fabulous giveaway. So stay tuned for that! The first Real Food Recipe Roundup will be next Sunday, April 6th. Meanwhile, here’s what we’re planning to eat this week!

WEEKLY MEAL PLAN

MONDAY: White Bean & Bacon Soup

TUESDAY: pizza takeout (Mama’s got a GNO!)

WEDNESDAY: Easy Crockpot Pulled Pork

THURSDAY: Herbed Chicken Rose with steamed brown rice and oven-roasted broccoli

FRIDAY: I dunno yet, something easy as I will be on a field trip with 4 classes of 2nd graders all day. It will probably involve a phone number. Chinese, perhaps?

SATURDAY: Friday Nite Chili

I’m REALLY excited about the new menu/recipes! My family isn’t gluten free, but I definitely want us to eat more whole foods. With spring possibly here (who knows – it snowed overnight), I’m so excited to get my garden going again, and to see my local farmers. I miss seeing them every week!

Love the real whole foods linkup idea. Since Little Guy can now eat gluten, we’re expanding our horizons to include recipes with whole wheat, but still focusing on real whole foods. Excited for the new recipe roundup!

So glad you’re opening up the linky to more recipes! I often can’t join in because not everything I post is GF, but it’s almost always real food. That’s how we eat!

Love that you’re expanding this! We haven’t had to eat strictly gluten-free in a while, but we’ve still been trying to focus on eating more whole foods, so I’m really looking forward to checking out the new linkup.
